I hate snipers or sniping myself so when I notice someone on the other team doing it I make it a goal to take that chump out. I use some different techniques to not be taken out while trying to kill them. Anyone do the same thing and what techniques will you use?
I love bouncing a grenade off the roof of the room the sniper is in so it will bounce down right on there head. Also weaving while you are running work amazingly well.
Usually when i want to take out a sniper i will throw a grenade off the ceilling. Or i will change my class to sniper and take him out with it give some of his own medicine.
Most snipers are stupid and will keep going back to the same spot after you kill them. Ive gotten 7 kill streaks off of idiot snipers that go back to the same dumb spots after I kill them.

Thats a great point, kill them once and leave a betty as a present for them when that noob comes back. On COD 4 smoke grenades were much more effective just throw one of them in the general direction of the sniper and do work with the suppressor.
I usually throw down my smoke or flare then position myself to where I can close in on the sniper without him knowing where I went because the knife kill is always the right kill.
I often snipe so I would just just snipe the sniper if he got a lot of kills on the team or killed me multiple times. I could sneak around but it's quicker and safer to kill the enemy sniper without running into their whole team at once. The spawing locations can be surprising. Quick shooting with an assault rifle in a shot-or-be-shot moment does work.

Yeah those are the dumb snipers who think they can go back to where they were and kill you even though you are waiting for them to return. It usually doesn't work out too well for them.
Any good sniper knows not to stay in the same place the second he has been spotted, so if you can't kill the sniper that doesn't move (Even though thats the majority of snipers who play COD), COD might not be you game. But, my sniper pwn technique is definitely map dependent. If I can get around them through an alternative route I'll do it, but if I can simply nade them I think thats a great way to go too. But agreed, don't weave, it just sets up a pattern that even the worst sniper can pick up on.
I always wondered why people hated snipers in almost every game. It's just another tactic and a riskier one at that. I personal enjoy close range combat but sniping can be fun.

I've wondered that too because there are ALWAYS going to be snipers and just like in everything else, there's advantages and disadvantages. The people who "hate" snipers are the ones dumb enough to not know how to think with common sense and use snipers disadvantages to their own advantage.
You're generally going to get killed by a sniper an equal amount of times compared to other style classes but some people only remember their sniper deaths because they never got a chance to fire back.
Here's a tip for you people who are really stuck on hating snipers. You have to remember that USUALLY a sniper is only going to do good if they have proper cover from the rest of their team. Keep pressure on the team as a whole and give the snipers less to work with and before you know it, you'll find yourself coming up behind a lot of enemies for easy kills. If you know there are snipers potentially scoping in on you and you're in a lose/mid range firefight, never forget about that sniper the whole time. Move yourself around accordingly and if you have smoke or grenades or just SOMETHING that will disrupt the snipers for a few seconds, use it so you can finish off the guy in front of you then move in on the sniper and that all comes back around to the whole common sense thing. The less oppertunities the sniper has to fire at you, the better.

It's so true because you could just as easily complain about people who use any gun. Sure it's a pain and probably feels a bit embarrassing to get dropped by a guy you didn't even see, but that's their strategy and it's certainly not fool-proof.
