COD4 Search & Destroy: Looking for help, strategy, tips

I would appreciate any good tips and strategy advice about playing Search and Destroy. I have played the game for 3 days. I am getting the hang of it, but I do have questions


1. How do you know where to go to find the other team so you can kill them? Im just just following team mates for now

2. Do any websites have maps that show the spawning and target location for all of the maps?

3. During defense, I will hover around the green defend markers and then a ‘defuse’
marker will pop up. Why don’t you just move to the area where the ‘defuse’ appears since that is the objective?

4. Is there somewhere you can go on the internet to find strategies for each map when you play offensive and for when you play defensive?

5. The size of the map dictates what weapon and perks to use. For example, a sniper rifle is better for a larger map. What are the best classes/perks to use when you are . . .
- playing offensive, small map, assault gun
- playing offensive, large map, sniper gun
- playing defensive, small map, assault gun
- playing defensive, larger map, sniper gun

6. There are 2 targets. How do you know which target to go to find the other team?

If there are any websites that will help someone to learn more about S & D, please post a link

After playing awhile , you will know the exact spawn on each map. Both teams always spawn in the same area for every map. The official strategy guide ('brady games' I believe) has the spawn locations for each map.

Im not sure. But there's probably 1 or 2 out there somewhere.

The "defuse" only appears once the bomb is planted. If its not planted, it'll just appear as "defend". Its not really wise to hang directly around that area. My best advice would be to be as far away from it as possible, but still visible enough to see people heading to it...or planting the bomb.

Play Bog, mother****ers spawn EVERYWHERE on that map.
