'REALLY CAN'T believe you people ACTUALLY USE Martyrdom. That perk is a joke and such a cheap joke at that. Not only is there a 1:100 chance of actually killing someone with it, but when you kill someone with it, they are either n00bs or trapped and either way you look at it, they are EXTREMELY cheap kills and prove nothing at all.'

I managed to kill 3 men at once when playing tactical search and destroy when they all bunched around the planting spot where my body was, thanks to that perk we won the game.

I really dont see the point of Martyrdom. I would never use it over Stopping Power or UAV Jammer. I rarely ever get killed by it. I always hear the grenade being dropped and run. The only times I get killed by it is if I get stuck against something.

Anyways, I just went to the third prestige so i lost all my setups so I'm just using the MP5, AK-47 and M4.

Martyrdom is very, very useful in headquarters or search and destroy, where that extra second of keeping them away or killing them can mean the difference between a win and a loss. And I personally also like steady aim with my submachine guns.

You were playing n00bs. People with any kind of common sense will set up a defense parameter rather than dry hump each other while the bomb is being planted.

In HQ, yes, it's useful but it's just not realistic. S&D, I don't find it useful at all over other possible perks. I have never been killed by Martyrdom in S&D because I get away when I hear the grenade drop.

Well, you either have a mono sound TV or you just play with low volume because I can EASILY say that more than half of my playability on this game comes from sound. Footsteps, gunfire, grenades, sounds of people running around on different surfaces... Sound plays a BIG role in this game and anyone who uses Dead Silence against me I can say already have an advantage because of how I play.

Agreed, I simply can't play this game without sound.

I take the liberty of saying I am at an advantage when it comes to sound, I play with headphones on (by choice for the most part) so I hear absolutely every noise that the game has to give.

Example of when sound is useful: A guy takes a swipe at you with his knife from behind and misses. Without sound, chances are he will get his kill, whereas with sound you will hear the first knife swipe, turn around, and have a fighting chance.

I think I tried using dead silence with my sniper setup, but I'm not one for running around making loads of noise anyway so It wasn't needed. I prefer to move slowly, you could even say steathly.

To me, the most pointless perk for at least the PS3 version is the eavesdropping one. Barely anyone uses a mic, and they have nothing of any tactical value to say when they use one anyway.

Sniper= M40A3+ACOG, M9, Claymores, Stopping Power and Extreme Conditioning. Can get to decent spots quickly, cover back with claymores and then kill in one or two bullets at any range.

Stealth= AK47+Silencer, M1911, Stunx3, UAV Jammer and Steady Aim. The AK has decent damage and the iron sights are bearable. I could use Fragx3 but I don't like it much, its a bit unfair.

Assault= M16A4+M203, M1911, Sonic Boom and Steady Aim. I've never used grenade launchers much on any game before, but I figure only having two rounds as well as losing a perk and the attachment is fair enough with the M16A4 as its a burst fire weapon. generally I prefer to send half a magazine in the enemy's direction, if they haven't killed me by then I figure that I'm within my rights to send a 40mm round their way. Its not always so honourable on my part, but I never run around with the grenade launcher selected before I even see the enemy... thats just plain unfair in my books, they have no chance of killing me.

I have just a normal television. By this i mean it's not HD, LCD, or anything else fancy of the sort. I don't have any kind of surround sound, or high quality speaker's, just what came on my TV. With that being said i don't have a problem playing this game at all, maybe just because i'm used to it, but sound dosen't mean anything to me. You could be the loudest, or quietest person on the game and that's not going to effect me killing you, or being killed by you. I think this game is mostly just reaction time.

I have been racking up some really nice kills with this setup:

M14 w/Suppressor in Woodland Camo (Sometimes use red dot instead)
M9 w/Suppressor
Stun Grenade (To get the challenge complete)
Bandolier
Stopping Power
Deep Impact

Sometimes I hate using the suppressor because it doesn't even sound like I am shooting it.
