mouse and keyboard will always have the advantage over a control stick in FPS games, which is mainly why I choose to play shooters on my PC. I wish they'd release the damn maps though....

You're only as good as you can handle your mouse and keyboard though. Besides, everyone has the same advantage as you so you really don't get an edge, it's just a different style of playing the same game.

I agree. What I meant though was that if you took "mouse+keyboard player" vs. "control stick player" the mouse+keyboard would have the advantage. Probably wasn't too clear on that.

Oh yeah, the mouse+keyboard would kill the controller user anytime anyday no problem.

I have actually been playing COD4 on the PC lately. It's actually a big change from the console because I feel the players on the PC are much more challenging to play against when compared to the users on the PC. It took me a while to get accustomed to the mouse and keyboard (I was getting owned every single game in the beginning), but now I'm starting to get the hang of things.
One thing I like more about PC is the amount of players in the room and the increased action. With 30-50 in a room, there are battles going on everywhere, which makes for some good strategy in terms of staving off the enemy.

That's because everyone is pretty much even on mouse and keyboard. Some might be quicker than others with aiming but for the most part everyone is equal to one another and you have all of your buttons right at your finger tips at all times.
On console, you have people who can't control the sticks more than they would be able to do with a mouse.

It's not the controls that make PC users harder to fight against. I think it's that if you have COD 4 on your PC, you're probably playing it much more than if it was on your console.

Agreed. I usually frequent the same room during different times of the day and the same players are always in it (probably never even left the room). I feel like the majority of them never leave their computers without playing 8+ hours of COD4.

So COD4 PC servers are like Counter Strike servers?
