I've had the same problem with the M40A1 recently too since the newest patch. What pisses me off is that the M21 is still pretty good with one shot kills and that should be the one sniper that ISN'T one shot kill unless it's in the head.

I think the idea of Prestige is cool and all, but people assuming you have no skill because your rank is down is ****ing retarded. I was a 55 on my 360 game after my first week of playing it, and all I heard was "blah blah blah you're not even a Prestige level 1!!! LAAWL!!". Now, on PS3, its "you're a 40! hahaha newb!" when I'm clearly 10x better than the idiot that actually has time to play this game. *sigh* I thought that would've died out with SOCOM, but I guess not.

I think you're forgetting the majority of the people that play are kids and are therefore by proclamation stupid.

When you get dropped into a lobby after a match has happened and most of the guys have scores beside their name, look at the ranks of the people who join just before and just after you... at least one and maybe 3 should be within +/- 15 ranks of you. The game likes to have pairs of players on the same rank, and its quite good at getting half a dozen or so pairs in a room. The level 10 prestige chaps are the easiest to see it in... the game doesn't often let them come in alone.

Then it goes and chucks teams together any old way so it doesn't actually matter at all. Earlier on ground war the lobby was mixed well with half a dozen very low ranks and the rest middle prestige, and the game goes and puts all of the noobs on the same team. I got 39-4 even when I dropped the airstrikes as far from the poor sods as possible and didn't call in any helicopters.

This is why the PC version is better - no prestige bullcrap. You get to 55 and you stay there until you get gold guns. Then you off yourself.

That's why it's gay. Not to mention the fact that you can only be so good and you can only stay at that level with other people if you drop hundreds of dollars into your computer like a lot of people do.
