Paying for something doesn't mean anything. No matter the system, all of these supposed "hacks" are exploitable, it's just a matter of knowing how.

Wait, inject? Like, during runtime, you would have to load the stuff needed to cheat into RAM?
If that's what he did, it really doesn't matter what the system is, you really wouldn't be able to prevent that. It sounds like you'd have to mod your box. Will never be widespread.
::EDIT::
Nvm, just saw the video. yeah, he used linux to boot cod4 it looks like, and then edited it from there.
What I want to know is why he had two video player windows with what looked like to be an infininite series of his desktop in it.

Ummm, you do know you can load and run Linux on the PS3, yeah? I'm pretty sure that's what is going on here.
Also, note throughout the video that the PS3 stuff shows up when he's dead and on the kill-cam.
no actually i didn't know that, that's kinda neat.
i didn't notice any ps3 stuff popping up, guess i'll have to watch the video again. until then just label me as a blind jackass and ignore my original post. lol
It's cool, hope I didn't sound like a d*ck. Yeah, one of the cooler features about the PS3 is that you can load Linux on it as the OS, as well as install your own HDD.
Unfortunately that leaves a pretty wide open door for stuff like this.
I have my 500gb externall HDD hooked up to my ps3 right now and it's lovely. Watching movies off of it is great, and you can play music and download themes right to it.
But, I don't see how you can spend that much money on something and plan to exploit it.

off topic question: how did you get your ps3 to recognize your hdd? i've got a 500g seagate free agent but it won't show up anywhere on any of the ps3 menus.
