This is what I've observed from the 360 and PS3:

Online Support
360-Online support is better. Because you pay Microsoft sends out patches and fixes bug on a solid note.

PS3-Online support is not bad on the PS3. Definitely not as good as on the 360 but it's fairly good. Some games, like Oblivion do take longer to load online extra content on start-up compared to the 360.

Reliability
360-This is where the 360 lacks. I've personally never had too much trouble with mine but I know many people who have gotten the "red ring of death". The newer consuls have better reliability but the older ones aren't very good.

PS3-Simply, I've never heard any problems with the PS3. I did heard it can get a little hot, but I don't know anyone with problems.

Graphics
Both consuls have great graphics. Overall I'll give a slight edge to the PS3, but some games like Oblivion and NCAA 08 I've noticed look better on the 360.

Exclusives
Both have great exclusives. I think the PS3 does have better exclusives because of Metal Gear and I'm not a big fan of Halo. This is more about personal preference though.

Overall it's really up to you. I really don't like COD4, but I have played it on both systems. Online gameplay is a little better on 360, but the PS3's isn't bad either. All you can really do is ask around and get opinions from people like you're doing. Although everyone will have different thoughts and people are fanboys. These systems aren't cheap so be sure which one you really want to get. Both systems are good though, and you will have fun on each one.

My cousin has a PS3 and i have a 360. Recently when i went over there i brought my 360 and we compared graphics on his like 50" HD Vizio. While the PS3 wasn't bad my 360 was by far better.

Either way you look at it COD4, along with any other next gen game is going to look brilliant on either system, it all comes down to what you think will be better for you.

This statement is so full of dung, it reeks!

The graphics on both consoles are practically identical at this moment in time... I've personally only seen teeny tiny differences between the two consoles, whenever the same game is available on either one.

Assassin's Creed? Looks the same on either console, yet it runs smoother on the 360. Both versions are repetitively boring... yadda yadda yadda.

Rock Band? Both versions look almost identical, from the demos that I've played of the game.

And this is coming from a person that has his 360 hooked up through the "generic" cables that came with the system... and the PS3 is hooked up through an HDMI cable... so please take your b.s. graphic "comparisons" elsewhere, we're apparently all stocked up in this thread.
