I have a problem

when im playing cod4 ill be in the middle of a game then all the sudden it kicks me back to the desktop theme. its done it three times today. i dont know why and its pissing me the hell off. let me know if this is happening to you.

But yeah I figured it was PC since I can't really see a console bringing you back to anything except for a game lobby or party lobby or whatever. But yeah I dunno, that sounds more like a system error than a problem with cod.

that's why i don't do pc games. on a console if the game is acting screwy then you know it's usually either the game itself or possibly the servers, whereas with a pc game it could be either of those reasons or any number of hundreds of different configuration issues on your system.

game consoles = games.

pc's = porn.

Sounds like a compatibility issue with your computer if that actually is what you play on. If it's a console, you better take it back.

Just go into the game's settings as there is usually an option to automatically change settings for optimal performance.

It could also be a virus (although it wouldn't just affect that one game) but like Warlock said, there are hundreds of things it could be when playing on a PC.

should have said ps3. my fault. but anyway yeah it kicks me to the settings screen where you manage everything. its so random.

the setting screen for the game, or the ps3 itself? if it's the game screen then it sounds like you might have an issue with the way your router is setup. are you having the same problem with any other online game?
