good spots to control
hey guys, im loving call of duty 4, but i suck at figuring out good spots in maps and how to use them to my advantage, what spots do you guys use?
im not referring to camping, im more talking about sniping, and spots a team could control.

It depends on the map and game mode really...

well, every map has a spot that has the "advantage". For example:
Overgrown: Some people call its Anne Franks, but its the building with the attic. Thatbuilding seems to be a dominant place, expecially if you get on the roof. It can easily dominate that side of the map.
Another good place is the building across the creek from that. It has two stories and windows on either side that will allow for covering the road it sits on.
Wetworks- This is the one with the ship. Each side of the map has a "tower" that could be used for sniping.
There are many others, but i'll let others fill those in...

Strike, TDM or Domination
Hold the courtyard area(where the B flag is on Domination)
Have a guy up in the one room that's behind B, overlooking it(by looking through the window), you have an easy view of B, part of the courtyard, the street, market area down the street, and on the other window you have a good view of A, and the street next to A to see if anyone crosses over.
From there just have maybe 1 guy on the A side watching to see if anyone tries to come up behind you, and the rest of your team in the courtyard looking down towards C and the building in front of C. Maybe have a guy right down below the window, on the side of the courtyard but looking over the wall so he can see the market area and the area right in front of him..
And have 1 guy in one of those rooms that's next to the main road(across the street from the courtyard, he would be between B and A)..you would want him looking across the street towards C.
That may be a bit confusing with out pics but whatev
- that will be an easy setup if your team spawns on that side..but once you get it IMO it's a pretty hard setup to break. You want to keep the guy looking through the windows up top to stay alive since he can see a lot of places and can call everything out..
if you spawn on the other side of the map then you have to make a good push to that side, to force them to spawn where you originally spawned..

ya voice chat is a positive thing.....(no offense.. but there is kind of a reason that the PC games section is kind of desolate)

Ok, so you are talking about camping.
But yeah, it all depends on what map and game mode. There are different ways to play each, and the best way is just to go out and find spots to "control" that best fit your play style.

I don't know about you, but when I snipe, I actually run around and snipe people like a foot in front of me. I play mostly Headquarters, so I snipe them as they try and capture the base.

I rarely see a sniper move around.
If I get sniped, and I know where it came from, I can find that same guy in the same spot at least 5 times before the game's over.
