It was a server error that happened on Nov 30th its fixed now so your rank will not reset itself anymore. Same goes for stats and challenges.

If that doesn't work, take a 5lbs mallet and put it through your PS3.

That = quick fix.

Quicker solution:

1. Cut a hole in box.
2. Bring PS3 into local game store.
3. Request Xbox 360.
4. Play

Why does everyone think 360 is some godly system? It has more problems than PS3 and it sucks your wallet dry.

because it is xbox 360 had its problems with the red ring of death. customer support microsoft any questions?..all hardware fixed turn around for my 360 was 2 weeks brand new system arrived with a month of xbox live. more games equal better sales check your local game site for that info. here is a little more info why 360 is better any questions.

Microsoft has been trickling out details about its fall firmware update for the Xbox 360 in recent weeks. The first new feature announced was a family timer that would limit playtime on the console to a set amount of time every day or week. That was followed by the introduction of Xbox Originals, downloadable versions of games from Microsoft's original console that would sell for 1,200 Microsoft points ($15) each. Another feature mentioned would allow gamers to see their friends' friends lists.

Today the publisher spilled a few more details about the fall update, which it will make available beginning December 4 at 2 a.m. Pacific. The biggest new feature revealed is the Xbox Live Arcade Hits program, which will see older games on the downloadable-game service permanently discounted. The first wave of Arcade Hits was also detailed. Bankshot Billiards 2 and Lumines LIVE! will both be marked down to 800 Microsoft points ($10) from 1,200 Microsoft points ($15), whereas Marble Blast Ultra, Zuma Deluxe, and Small Arms will go from 800 Microsoft points ($10) to 400 Microsoft points ($5).

Other new features include the incorporation of a news ticker into the dashboard to provide a steady stream of updates direct from Microsoft. Gamers will also have the chance to share a bit more information about themselves in an expanded bio section of their online user profile. Finally, the update will include a handful of interface tweaks, support for more video codecs, and full-screen movie previews.

I can easily afford it. I choose not to pay for it because it's not worth it. LIVE has many more problems than PSN and they want moey for it. What a joke. 360 in no way has better game quality either. It has quanity, but only because it's been out longer. Your other reasons as to why you think 360 is better don't prove anything. Dropping a few prices and adding a news ticker, those sure are reasons to buy a 360. Maybe one day they'll learn from Sony and add some useful like a web browser.

Okay so basically i had the game 3 days now and each and every time i selected quit game when i was done it reset me back to rank 1 with no stats, guns etc. so i decided to select ( turn off the system ) instead and sure enough it finally saved something for me. im sure it was just a fluke fix but does anyone know of another option to back out of the game other than selecting (quit game) ?

just re-read this thread problems..problems...you can read cant you?.......live has no problems if there is problems give me some.??????? just read the thread over slowly and maybe you can comprehend. that ps3 is an ashtray that's not saving your rank.....

My wallet didn't get sucked dry. I don't have an early 360 system either so mine works perfectly fine. The main thing that makes the 360 so much better than the PS3 is Xbox Live. It's just so amazing and 10,000 times better than anything online for PS3.

I'll say a couple I imagine Bamf will end up saying.

For one, Xbox Live's servers are absolute dog **** and go down once a week atleast. Two, there's days where all my friends and I have trouble sending messages, sending invites, etc. That's only two problems, I know. But for a company that wants money for their online, it should be flawless in my opinion. There ya go, you got your reasons....... I'm sure Bamf will be happy to add more.

Oh, another thing..... If you keep attacking our senior members, or any members at all, there will probably be a suspension and or ban coming your way.
