*COD4 Patch Update (Details Inside) XBOX360 but More for PS3*

This sounds really good but I just have one question..

2 days ago i got the ps3 and CoD4. Played to rank 7 and realized what a great game this was already even after watching my roomate play on 360.

Then the next day i log on to find my rank at lvl 1. I then proceeded to check a lot of forums online and apparantly a ton of people have this problem.

I was just wondering what the cause of this is and if it will be fixed. My friend plays this without a hitch or snag on xbox live. I don't know about anyone else but I will gladly pay 50 dollars a year for internet like the 360 to prevent this BS from happening.

This should have been tested pre-release or fixed a long time ago.

I haven't seen this problem at all, EVER, with Xbox Live. I currently own a PS3, previous owner of a 360, and wish they made us pay monthly so these problems would stop.

The reason, I think, people get so upset is because ranking up is the entire point of playing online. If it was like Socom, and rank only really meant a new symbol in front of your name, and being a higher rank is just basicially for bragging rights it would be different.

However the higher rank you are, the more you unlock and so on. This is the aspect of the game that the makers advertise the most as far as Online play. Rank is the entire point of multiplayer. I'm not getting to upset with this, but I can see why people are getting frustrated.

No, NO, NO, NO, NO.

Maybe to ~5% of the people. The point of playing online is to have fun, not rank up. Honestly, there's better **** to do than to rank up on a video-game, and if the only reason you do play online is to rank up and show people how 1337 you are on a video-game, you're a ****ing retard, end of story.

Rank is worthless. You have skill or you don't, no need for a rank to show it. I've seen some scrub *** players at a high rank just because they're on winning sides a lot.

If you guys know me by now I love showing off.. I dont know why but thats just me. I have fun trying to improve my rank to show off to people how much I play. Also you can see who cares about rank... People that don't do the prestige don't care the ones that do most likley do, or just gives them somthing to do.

When I hit my 55, I'm not doing Prestige. It doesn't benefit me in the real world in any way, shape, or form so it's pointless.

I'm at 55 and staying there too. All I cared about was getting all the guns & gravy.
