Online Clans?

I just have a quick question for all of you who would happen to know the answer to this question. Does this game support online clans "correctly", clan lists, clan leaders and all of that, or is it just a tag in front of your name and you just have to add your so called members so your PSN Friends list, other wise no clan affiliation what so ever? Any answers would be appreciated, thanks

There's no clan support unfortunately..so the closest you can get to having clans is just having everyone in the "clan" use the same clan tag..which you can unlock the clan tag at a certain level.

That stinks to high heaven. I just don't understand why they wouldn't add a "Clan" aspect. Clan lists, Clan wars, Clan Rankings, etc.. That is a huge aspect of a lot of games. Especially a game of this magnitude. Maybe later they will come out with some patch or something where clans are incororated into the game correctly.

It's level 12 where you unlock the Clan Tag by the way

I was a little disappointed at first, but then I remembered Socom 3 and how sweet it was supposed to be with full clan war support, ladders, etc. We all know how that worked out.

Socom has one of the best Online Game Set-Ups ever! I mean, it has everything you need. I believe that the XBOX version of COD has a clan system at level 12.

At level 12 you gain the ability to put a clan tag in your name. That is all the clan support COD4 has.

I think it'd be a homerun for either XBL or PSN to have a universal clan system. Here's how I would do it:

• Clan Homepage/Blade
  This'd have all your clan's details on it. Clan name, maybe a clan logo, website address, announcements/bulletins.
• Clan Friends List
  A Friends List of just your clanmates
• Clan Gamerpic
  So everyone can have the same one, in addition to their own personal one
• Clan Roles
  Specify leaders, recruiters, captains, each with their own abilities
• Clan Battle System
  Challenge other clans on various games, and track all wins/losses/kills/deaths universally.

Ahhhhh thats what I've wanted for so long! Someone needs to call up microsoft and tell them to get on it. The COD4 clan tag things blows...period. It would be so much better if XBL had a huge clan system.
