Here's the deal: Most snipers typically crouch in a grassy area or where it's hard to see them and wait for a shot, thus making them easy targets since they aren't moving. I run around with my sniper in safe areas where I won't have any CQC, although I still pwn with my Colt 45 anyway. When I'm running around, plenty of times I see snipers aiming at me and I simply jump, crouch, zoom in, hold my breath, and fire. Either a headshot or chestshot, and they're dead. Most chest shots will kill someone, unless they have juggernaut on. But as for the semi-auto sniper, you can be lame and if you miss the first one just keep firing cuz they'll die eventually. I can't stand using it though, doesn't feel like a real sniper.

It feels like a sniper if you go for headshots like me.

Usually if I find a close-range weapon I pick it up. A sub-machine gun usually, and sometimes an M4 (hate shotgun). But I must be quick with the pistol or something, because ever since I got the m1911, I've been raping with my secondary.

But when you miss their head and they start running or somethin I'm sure you keep blasting away until the person is dead. That's what I can't stand.

Does anyone ever shoot after putting the crosshairs right onto a stationary target and the shot misses? It seems that you have to hold your breath for at least 2 seconds to hit.

Happens all the time. I g\figured something was in the way of my shot, but that isn't it because I've tried standing in the wierdest spots just to make sure.

I just don't like that fact that you need to basically shoot someone, unless you get a head shot, about the same amount of times with a sniper rifle, then you would with any other gun, in order to kill them. I under stand the smaller sniper rifles, however I think the 50cal. should be a one shot kill, no matter where you hit them. It's just frustrating that you shoot someone with a barrett and they are still running around like nothing even happened.
Now of coase head shots will take care of all of this, however some times you just have to aim for a torso shot in order to get anywhere

Yeah I've had a few instances where I shot a guy, even in the torso sometimes, with a barret and they don't die. It is really aggravating, and unrealistic. It probably wasn't on Team Hardcore though.

The sniping on Call of Duty Modern Warfare differs from all of the other games. Some maps allow you to use Ghille Suits for cover, some maps don't. Other maps are great for sniping, some are not. It is a good combination of maps that allow sniping and don't. It just depends what you are best with.

Well, if they made the M82 and one hit kill no matter what, then it would be a broken and cheap weapon. It's already semi-auto. If you don't kill them the first shot, just shoot again. Besides, if you put stopping power on your guy, a lot more of those two shot kills will turn to one shot kills.

This is because they use some real sniping aspects in the game. If your target is running to your east to west or vise-versa, you have to lead them depending on the distance of the shot. If they are a long ways away such as all the way down the road on crossfire or on the other side of a field in overgrown, then you should aim JUST EVER SO SLIGHTLY above where you want the bullet to actually hit.
