Murqq and I played some COD4 last night. I'm really digging this game. The ranking system is awesome as welll as the Hit detection. The Kill Cam is a nice addition for people like me that always gets raped on MP shooters.
The constant bitching and whinning I heard from other players gives it a nice SOCOM feel to it.

Hit detection is my single gripe about this game.
I can walk up on a guy, and unload an entire clip from the MP5 on him, and nothing. Then, when I get sniped, I get to see that the sniper's crosshairs never cross over me.
It's like one of those planes that fly over the beach with a banner behind it, only this plane's banner says WTF?!
Aside from that, the game is super awesome fun.
I kept getting that big ugly "Download" screen, so I deleted the beta. Then I spent about 20mins trying to figure out how to re-download it. Now it's downloading.
If you get the "Download Game Settings" screen, just leave your game on that screen for awhile, and it'll eventually go away.
I finally got my email yesterday....and then I had to buy Live, and I figured, "Why not buy a year....you get ripped off if you buy anything less." So I bought a year's worth.
Damn fun game.... I need to add some of you guys so I can play against some worthy people.
