Yeah I didn't really like playing when people started using claymores..I enjoyed a nice fast paced gameplay but once people started using them you have to check every doorway you go through just in case. Whenever I saw enemy claymores though they were pretty visible, so whenever I did see one I would find a different way or blow it up.
The slight of hand perk is sweet though, the faster reloading helped me so much.
Can't wait for the game to come out.

I miss this game already.
Its gotta sell atleast 2 million copies when its released. This is everything a die-hard Socom player wants and then some.
I doubt very much that Confrontations could top this game.
My view on why this game (the beta alone) is so much better then Halo 3 :
Halo 3 :
You have to shoot people 3 times as much for them to fall.
By the time your done killing one person, the chance of someone being immediately behind you to take you out is very high.
Theres no stealth or strategic element. Not realistic..No silenced weapons either.
The cross hairs look juvenile , makes it feel like a kiddy game.
The people (online) are much more annoying and childish.
The game looks like something out of the Transformers..and the pace of action is annoying...which makes the game more frustrating.
You cant play Ranked Team Deathmatch or Ranked Lonewolf Deathmatch only... you have to play all that other crap in between. ( Shotter Snipers, Team Rockets , Crazy King)
Call of Duty 4 :
Hit detection is the best i've ever seen in ANY shooter game.
No laggy frame-rate issues of any kind. (online lag is sometimes a problem because of the host..but that can be noticed by hitting the select button)
Great strategic and realistic environments and elements.. You almost feel like your IN the game.
The game modes and maps are awesome. You can play ONLY Deathmatch if you wish. Team Deathmatch, or Random Team Deathmatch is a ton of fun.
The Perks are an excellent addition..which give you a time to strategize and really test out the different options to enable with your character. Each Perk seems equally balanced so far...except maybe for the Martyr perk. Which seems a little too strong at times.
The feel of the guns when you shoot is perfect and right on. Equally balanced guns for the most part. (god, I love that silenced M4)
Very fluid game play..quick loading times.. you get in and out of the action instantly. no waiting times.
Cool online mature crowd for the most part. Somewhat like Socom but without the annoying 10 year olds.
The rewards for going on killing sprees and unlocking guns and attachments make it alot more fun then an average shooter game. The level increases gives it a RPG feel.
This game will probably consume most of my time this Winter. It has that addicting Socom feel to it. (much more addicting then Socom actually) If ever an upcoming game was a whistle blower...then is it.
Game of the year? Quite possibly.. But I think their going to give it to Bioshock.

For the record, claymores do disappear once you die.
But yes, game of the year material.

Did any of you unlock the G3?
I heard it was badass.
It is, however, semi only.
When I played COD1, I would more often than not use one of the semi or bolt action rifles (not including the sniper rifles). COD has always been a game where it doesn't matter how many rounds you can fire, which I love.

Ooooh, I'm gonna have to disagree with that one. You must not have played Graw 2 much, because it's hit detection was flawless.

How can you disagree with him when it's the best game he's played?

Shazam!
How does the overall hit detection of COD 4 rate, though? I heard it was great.

That doesn't mean the hit detection sucks, though.
I'm willing to bet nearly 100% of the time somebody says "I lit that guy up and he didn't drop!" it's a case of the player missing. I'm guilty of it, too.
I did hear that shooting someone in the knee was more powerful than other vital areas, though.
