Unconfirmed: Microsoft Lockouts 23,000 Live Users - Kotaku
Hahaha, there are 100k valid users of the COD4 beta, but 23,000 nonvalid users. Such as the people who signed on someone elses account and downloaded it. I know we have a few here. More than likely you got a temporary ban from Xbox Live, and you won't be able to play the beta anymore. :)

I knew that was coming. IW had to be looking at the number of people playing, and going "WTF?! We only gave out 85,000 codes!".
The game is as blissful as the perfect peanut butter to jelly ratio, just wait for it. I'm sure the multi-player demo will go up as soon as the beta ends.

Wow... I almost feel sorry for those people who thought they were being slick and decided to download the beta via the "cheaters" way... sucks to be them!

It's only a 24 hour ban, so it's just a slap on the wrist.
It's funny reading the replies on that article. I'm shocked by the number of people with the attitude of "WTF? Microsoft screwed up, it's their fault, why should people be banned". Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
It wasn't hard to get into the beta. If you didn't make it in, it's probably because you A) weren't keeping up on how to get in, or B) were too lazy to do it (as is true for most my clan  ).

I wish I could play tonight... but I have to hit the gym, and do some stuff around the house.
Sometime this weekend (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) will be easier for me to finally get a chance to play this beta... BioShock & Wii Sports have been taking up all of my spare video game playing time as of late.

True... but to be honest, I'd just be looking to not get "raped" by your shotty skills (as mentioned earlier in the thread)... it was bad enough trying to stay out of your line of fire with the DE while playing R6V, ya big jerk.

I'll see what I can do about getting on tonight after I get back from the gym... tomorrow night will more than likely be a good night for me to play, especially since I don't have to get up early for work or anything else on Saturday...
