Played a couple games this morning. Seemed like it would be fun, so I'll keep an eye on it. I like and dislike the lack of sway there is when you aim with a sniper. I also like that RPGs start to go down after a little while. Too bad it's only one map.

Almost... but not quite. I realized what he meant after I thought about it for another second after submitting my post.

Wait were all your issues last night on ps3? I play on 360 and dont see any of these issues. Its not a typical thing for a bf game. only game that had these issues was bf1943 and that was just server capacity being full since they didnt expect such a big number of players. The first BC had very few issues for me on ps3 and none when I played on 360.

Nope, seemed to be happening on both systems. At first, I was thinking it would be another typical PSN online hiccup... but I was wrong. Happened to me a few times while playing the 360 version, too. And I will mention once again, this even happened after I reset my entire PC setup - modem, router, everything.
I've been sending "hatemail" to their Twitter and Facebook accounts... asking them WTF is going on with their product. Only response that I got (obviously a canned response) from them was something along the lines of: "we will keep you posted".
I'm remaining optimistic that these disconnects might be due to the fact that so many people were trying to download the 1gb+ file from PSN at almost the same time. Once I started the download, the estimated time to complete shot all the way close to 60+ minutes.

It could have been a problem with your ISP. IDK all i know is Me Muk and Pre were playing last night with no issues other than retarded teammates. It is likely that the thousands downloading it caused some issues.

I doubt it, considering both friends of mine have completely different ISPs and were experiencing the same kind of crap that I was. One friend lives two blocks away from me, and the other one lives 20+ miles away.
I downloaded it on Friday and I think I've played it for a little more than 2 hours. I was very hesitant with this game because the first one was such a bag of shit. My reaction so far though is this one is much more polished. Great graphics, smooth controls, and guns are spot on especially the sniper rifles which were so bad in the last one. Only problem is to much running around, still not able to lay down, I'm not sure how many game modes there are, and waiting forever to respawn. I wouldn't buy this game because it's fun factor would wear out quickly and there's to many other games to look forward to in March. Also, I've been looking at the new Medal of Honor with a watchful eye which from what I've seen looks amazing.

If you dont like the BF MP you wont like the MOH mp since DICE is doing the MOH MP too.

It's not suppose to be out until Fall, and there isn't much on it so I don't see how you can compare the two. But from what I've seen in the trailer it looks promising, and with so many military shooters out there I'm not just going to go buy into any game easily.

All i was trying to say is DICE has had the same multiplayer style for years and since it was announced that they are doing the MP on MoH Im going to assume it will play similar to BF.

Its an ok game. The way your character handles is still irritating, and they are just being stubborn by keeping it in the game. Too much random shit happens. I know its not an isolated infantry battle but its quite difficult to shoot people when your screen shakes inexplicably every few seconds in some areas of the battlefield. The vehicles are too tough. The RPGs take so long to reload that having to score three or four hits, even in the arse of an APC, is practically undoable.
I also seem to be unable to pick up my own health and ammo kits. I can do without ammo because the pistol is beautiful but I sort of need health. I can't rely on my team mates because it appears people lose fifty percent of their IQ when they play Battlefield games.
I don't like the rush game mode. Battlefield 2 and Modern Combat were built on tug of war type game modes and that was brilliant. But for some reason they picked the worst game type from MC, the one where one team starts with nearly everything and has to defend (e.g the Chinese vs EU maps).
Other than that, the game is fine. I really like the lay out of the map I've played.

Having good teammates that communicate well makes a world of difference. I have taken out enemy tanks with only two well placed RPG shots... RPGs and those tracer darts make a good combination for the engineer class.
I don't have a problem with how "slow" the RPG is to reload... from footage that I have seen before, it looks like it's reloaded just like it would have to be reloaded IRL.
