Its like an unwritin law you cant spend more then 100 if its just a few week... You can not! I learned that mistake... My family has alot of money so I went out and bought my ex a 600$ necklace and we were only going out for a month... After that she only expected more... I mean alot more..... Dont do it man... 100$ limit.

Get her some jewelry, like a necklace. I know Tiffany's has stuff for $100 - $120 that is pretty cool. Can't go wrong.

1) You've only been going out a few weeks, $225 is WAY too much. I don't care if you do or don't have the money, it's not worth it yet. Get the chick some flowers and some candy and send her on her way until the relationship means something.

2) Show your nuts, don't sucker up and buy her something huge, it makes you seem desperate.

3) In all seriousness, get her something nice, but not for a mind-blowing amount of money. If you go out and empty your pockets on her on the first gift-giving holiday she's just going to expect more and more in the(possible) years to come.

I found the jacket and I bought the jacket. The money really is not (and never has been) the issue. The rest of you can live by these guidelines (I don't know who came up with them), but I won't if I don't feel like it.
