I doubt that it creates more energy than it releases.
I don't have the exact numbers, since he hasn't told anyone what frequency his radio waves run at. All I know is that machine looks a hell of a lot more powerful than my AM/FM alarm clock, and steam power isn't all that great except on massive scales.

You're nuts if you think the idea here is to go back to the steam engine. Hydrogen burning at 3,000 degrees Farenheit? Do you have any idea what kind of BTUs that's kicking out?

I don't either really, but I'm guessing a lot.
