..pretty sure I know which guitar I have. When I said it blows fender out of the water it is only an opinion and I stand by it. My SG fits my preferences that I look for in a guitar. It sucks to be your friend I guess.

If you know the basic 4(that's what I call him) you can learn many songs. The basic 4 includes G,C,EM, and D.

I'm having tuner problems with my tuner.

Yesterday, bought a tuner for my guitar and tuned it to Drop D, once everything was in tune, I ran through all the strings to check the tune on last time.

Then it said nearly every note was slightly flat.

Tried again, tuned them all till they were in tune...(Keep in mind when I tune and then pluck the string, and it says I'm in tune, I'll pluck the string another 4-5 times to make sure)

Then...did on last run through of all the strings...flat...again...

HELP...my guitar can't be tuning out before even playing. -_-

I'm using a BOSS TU-80 tuner by the way, if anyone's wondering.

I've had this problem when I just put new strings on. As the strings stretch they grow flatter until they're done stretching. Try it again later, if the problem persists I'm not sure what to tell you except you may have a falty tuner.

just like dirt said, newer strings have a tendency to stretch out. but also, what kind of guitar are you playing, and how new is it? my older guitars have looser keys and go out of tune easily.

if this happens every time you pick up your guitar then theres probably a problem. but if its just when you put on new strings, its normal. after you first put them on and tune them, bend each string pretty high about 5 times, then retune. itll help stretch them.

as for the other guy who thinks an epiphone sg is better than a fender must have been playing a broken strat. buying an epiphone is like shopping for a car and getting a scooter. american strats are great and if you want to get an sg or a lp, pony up for a gibson.
