Therefore he stabbed his brother thinking that he would come back to life. If you noticed he wrote "I just stabbed my brother" saying it as if it was not a big deal. I feel sad for this kid dieing over a stupid reason though.

You're just like the anti-videogame extremists.
That is their argument. I can't believe I'm hearing that from someone who averages 15 posts a day on a VIDEO GAME forum.
Whenever a child dies it's a sad thing, especially when it could have been prevented, like it could have here.

If a 13 Year old doesn't have a sense of reality and what death is at that age then his parents haven't done their job. What this kid has a problem with was controlling his emotions and this case it was to the extreme. I also seriously doubt that this wasn't the first time that this kid had a freak-out.
Some lazy parents these days don't care if their kid / kids sits around and plays video games all day because to some, a video game console makes for a good babysitter.

They make it seem like he stabbed him because he wanted to play the game, when it was probably along the lines of, they got into a fist fight and the kid got too pissed off because he was getting his **** handed to him.

It doesn't matter, even if that was the case, which I doubt.
We don't know the entire story, so it's impossible to tell what drove this kid. I'm sure a number of the factors we immediately assumed (bad parenting, for one) played a role in this. Either way, two lives are ruined, a family is destroyed, and the anti-videogamers have another case against us.
This is a bit off topic, but it makes me mad when an incident occurs that can somehow be turned around to make the object involved the cause.
For example, this incident will have the anti-videogamers calling on the banning of video games, even though it didn't have anything in particular to do with them.
Another example is when a crime is comitted with a paintball gun, people bash the sport.
However, if someone walks up to another person and Mark McGuire's the **** out of them, is baseball bashed? No.
I don't really know for sure what my point is here, but it makes me mad that just because a group of people are against something, they can simply blame the object, rather than the parents, for example.

i bet the kid has like aspergers syndrome and is slightly autistic and doesn't really know how to interact with other people. So in the end he came to the conclusion in order to solve the problem he resorted to using an extreme form of violence.
I could see some game more along the lines of guitar hero because someone good never really fails so the kid couldn't take his brother not sharing. Just my guess.

That stupid **** deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life, then in hell after that. He killed his brother over a video game. What a ****ing evil little prick. Sorry I'm swearing so much, but god damn! This is not acceptable. Killing someone over something as insignificant as a video game is not right, in any way what so ever. How stupid can you be? Was this kid mentally retarded? No, even mentally challenged people have more sense than this dumb ****.
The sooner he goes to prison, the better. I don't want this guy to ever see the light of day again. Not after this. If you kill a family member, who wasn't threatening you or anyone else in any way, you don't deserve to experience the wonderful world that God/Allah/whatever you believe in (including no supreme being) gave to us.

Well, if that got you mad I would hate to see you when I tell you people have been killed for less.
The video game play almost no role in the murder of his brother, yes it did start it though like some have already stated. I truly believe that they where fighting over the control(And to the people that have little or bigger brothers, you all know too well of this, as me and my little brother would fight all the time over who got to play the NES next even with the "I got next" rule when I died I would just say I got cheated and I am going to use another life, my little brother would start to get mad, and we would roll on the ground hitting each other) and it escalated into his little brother stabbing in.

The reason I have 15 posts a day on a video game forum is because I check out the forum. I reply to the topics I can, and I carry on. Its not like I sit here 24/7, its just a habit.

What I'm saying is there was no alcohol involved in this story.
