I understand that many illegal aliens come to America to try and make a living and better money. They just need to try and do it the legal way.
Exactly. I'm not racist, but sometimes people will make that assumption just because I am against illegal immigrants. However, they do not take a second to think that maybe I'm against all illegals, not just Mexicans.
I don't care if someone wants to try and make a better life for themself, but to do it illegaly...

Well, this is because people want to do it now. They have to wait forever to get the mail and everything set up. A lot of people apply for a Visa and they just have to wait for their turn. People just can't wait that long, and they decide to try coming over illegally. Correct me if I am wrong about this. 48,000 is a huge number of people dieing. I really feel bad for all the families they had to leave behind just because someone was not following the rules.
Maybe if our Government found away to make money off of keeping illegal immigrants out of our Country, they would do something about it.
With Mexico and Canada combined it's 7,500 miles of Border that illegals can come in through. That's alot of entry space.
I'm not afraid to call a Spade, a Spade, but I'll say a vast majority of the criminals come through the Mexican Border which is 1,950 Miles long.
Canada's economy and quality of life is very similiar to ours where Mexico has always had a very poor economy and hasn't done much to improve the quality of life for there people.
The 48,000 Americans killed is a pretty high statistic. I did the math ( duh ) and it boils down to 6,850 a year dead. If that total is true then I don't understand why our Government wouldn't be taking great strides to solve this problem.
Call me heartless and careless, but I don't find this Michael Moore-wannabe hackjob video being so alarming. If illegal immigrants didn't rape and murder these unfortunate people, our own citizens would fill in the gaps quite easily.
I don't think their illegal acts are so easily put hand-in-hand with their "illegal" residency status. It's so easy to pull these types of statistics out of our *** and call them relevant to the problem, but there are just as many Americans being killed by the same percentage of Americans if you look at the same income bracket (likely the lowest one) of Americans with immigrants. Crime is the product of low income, this is not a phenomenon and the country of origin is of no significant cause to their actions.
400,000 Americans die from smoking a year, and I could show you all their mug shots and put it to a nice Dido track... but I will never say that cigarettes should be made illegal. Hell, 600 die a year from Hypothermia, but people still want to curtail global warming!! 18,000 die from lack of insurance and that's a problem caused by the government! 98,000 die each year from preventable medical errors yet we are handing out more medical degrees than ever and with the same amount of education as we have had 50 years ago! Putting a magnifying glass over a statistic without looking outside of it will make everything sound like a crisis.
People need freedom to do the right thing and the rest is up to them! Legal or illegal, we all know right from wrong and should certainly be held responsible for our actions, but to say one portion of society is to blame without looking at the whole scheme of things is silly.
As far as the whole illegal immigrant situation, I think they should be allowed over, however it is essential we have the proper registration process. Illegal acts will remain illegal no matter how much money we waste on "border control". Just make it easier for the "good" ones to come over and it would be easier to spot the bad apples, rather than lumping them into one group and calling them all rapers and murderers on a stupid youtube video.
