It's just like a PSP + a phone addon, but other than that I refuse to pay the high pricetag for such a "sexy" device

The screen will probably scratch really easily when you take it out of your pocket. I don't think it's worth 600 bucks.

I like the feature that you punch in the number of the people you want to call, and then you can talk to them. That's the major point to this device, the iPhone. And it plays music too? Holy ****! Oh wait a second, my current cell phone already does that. My bad, I guess the iPhone is pretty useless, especially since everyone and their mother owns a iPod and a cell phone already.
As far as a PDA goes, I never saw the need for that anyway. The thing most teenagers (and I say teenagers because we're the ones who hype this crap up) use it for is the scheduler, and almost all phones have them anyway. I don't need a PDA, or an internet browser that only works in certain spots. Any teenager who says they need a PDA or internet wherever they go is outright lying...no exceptions.

Thinking about it, Prison Fight is right.
My cell phone has a camera, scheduler, alarm clock, calendar, Internet access, mp3 player, etc. I can even use it as wireless receiver for a computer! Everything the iPhone is (maybe more) for a fraction of the price.
All that stuff my phone has (not a lot compared to some phones) and it's still not a brick!

Everything you can get on an iPhone or a PDA, you already pretty much have it on a regular cell phone. You just have to learn how to use it. Then maybe so many people won't go through their cell phones like toilet paper.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong. Some people actually need a PDA. People like doctors, lawyers, politicians, they're always on the go. They need it. 17 year old construction workers don't need YouTube on the go.

the price isnt bad for a pda/smartphone, treos and mdas alike cost upwards of 400 up but its not really the price its functionality as a phone is my worst complaint. if this was an ipod that had a new phone accessory then i wouldnt complain as much
