I don't agree with the firing, Marty did a lot for this team, and really turned them aroun dthe past two seasons. Sure they suffered a huge letdown by losing the first playoff game after a very sucessful season, but I don't think he should have gotten fired because of it.

It's shame if he got fired due to the quarells that he may have had AJ Smith. I'm sure Marty will find another job if he is interested in coaching still, he's a great guy.

What sucks, is the head coaching vacancies have basically all been filled.

A lot of people are saying that Joe Gibbs will retire from coaching at the end of this year and go back to Nascar to control his race team. The Redskins can't just cut him because he's done way to much for this franchise. I wonder who will be taking his spot when he retires... *cough hopefully marty*

What do you guys think about their choice of taking Wade Phillips?

I thought it was a good idea, Wade needed another shot at Head Coach again, He is a master mind with LB so it will be interesting to see what he dose in Dallas

Interesting....I've heard the GM Bruce Allen and several other Buc players say on several occasions that they were about 30 million under the Cap .

On a Side Note: I just heard that ESPN has given Michael Irvin his walking papers. This makes me happy, not only Am I relieved that I won't hear his obnoxious laugh no longer on ESPN, I also don't have to look at his suits that make my stomache Quesy.

LOL I wish they would get rid of Mel kipper they guy is an idiot.

Bills general manager Marv Levy addressed the media Friday, and said the team will spend "cash to the cap" for the 2007 campaign, also touching on the Bills' free agents, draft philosophy and the blackout issue.

"We're not going to amortize the future," Levy said. "The cap is $109 million this year. I don't think we're going to 'mortgage the future' type of thing by going beyond the cap."

Levy, **** Jauron and a number of the Bills staff had just returned from Florida, where they spent a number of days meeting with owner Ralph Wilson regarding "mostly personnel issues."

Levy said he doesn't have a handle on the salary cap, but knows they will spend without hurting the future.

"We're not that liberally able to go out there and throw (money) all around," he said. "I don't understand cap. I run down the hall to Jim Overdorf over time."

The Bills general manager said the team was looking long and hard at their own free agents, specifically unrestricted players like Nate Clements and London Fletcher-Baker.

"We'd love to retain them," he said. "Jim Overdorf is contract negotiation guy, and he said there's nothing definitive yet. Some would like to wait. Will they hit the market? Probably a good chance, but if we can wrap it up before then, I'd be delighted."

Levy said Clements has expressed an affinity for Buffalo and would like to stay a Bill, but will test the free agent market. He also indicated a very attractive offer would be made to the corner.

What's wrong with Mel? :(

I'm just happy the Jets have some good cap room to work with, they'll need it with the schedule they have now.
