I just knew he was going to somewhere in NY...
You know, I was really hoping he would end up with the Giants. Tom Coughlin probablyscared him away...whatever, they better sign someone to replace Tiki, or Eli is going to be the laughing stock of that offense with no back field help (Funny, I say that like I already don't think he is the laughing stock of the team).

Has the Giants pick up someone yet? All they have been doing is releasing people. LB Carlos Emmons cut; LB LaVar Arrington cut; OT Luke Petitgout cut. OT Bob Whitfield retired. That's a lot of starters and they also fired defensive coordinator Tim Lewis.

Oh,the Giants Trade WR Tim Carter to Browns for RB Reuben Droughns.

They haven't made any major moves that I am aware of. I don't like to see them release so many players, but you have to admit, the players you mentioned did very little for the team. It's unfortunate that they had injuries at this point in therir careers, and I'm sure they'll find a different team.

Droughns is decent pick up foe them. He was succesful in both Denver and Cleveland when he received playing time, and I bet he will see plenty of time with the Giants, unless of course they sign someone else.

Other news in the NFL;

Chargers change helmets.

SAN DIEGO (March 10, 2007) -- The San Diego Chargers have given their uniforms the most significant makeover since 1988.
The major changes include a new gold lightning bolt logo, which will be outlined in both powder blue and navy, and a metallic white helmet.
The team colors and overall look will remain the same. The Chargers will continue to wear navy blue jerseys and white pants at most home games, white jerseys and navy pants on the road and powder blue jerseys with white pants at select home games.
The team will unveil the new look March 14.
"I think it's really great," NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson said in a statement released by the team. "I think it is time for us to have our identity, with our jerseys. So I think it is only right to have our own new jerseys and create our own era and our own identity."
Said quarterback Philip Rivers: "You know, it's really an honor that they've chosen our team to be the first to wear this new uniform."

I wish this Jake Plummer Crap was over with. It's not even worth reading the papers or listen to Sports talk Radio around where I live.

The total silence of the Raiders is Baffling. You can't tell me that the Raiders are going to get ( Quin or Russel ) through the draft and go into the season with the Rookie , Andrew Walter , and Marques Touiasosopo at QB. No Way !!
They've got to get a Vet from somewhere. They'll either get Plummer to snap out of it, if he's bluffing, for a trade, Who Knows ??? Or they'll do a trade for David Carr or maybe Tampa Bay will Pimp out Chris Simms.

I can't wait for the draft to get here so all this QB speculation will end.

Thoughts ?

BTW: I dig the Chargers New Unis

Actually, I think the Raiders might take a shot with going with a rookie. I mean, it can't really get any worse for them than it all-ready is, so they might as well try new things. I mean, look at Big Ben up in Pitt, he came out and destroyed everyone in his wake with a perfect 13-0 rookie record - led his team to AFC Champ Game. What are the chances of this happening again? Probably slim to none, but it really wouldn't hurt anything to try. They can only go up.

Yeah but the Steelers had Batch as a Back Up plan who's had some decent NFL Playing time ( Lions ). Andrew Walter was the worst Quarterback in the NFL I've ever seen last season. Tuiasososopo has started what 3 or 4 Games ???
And a Rookie who has no NFL experience.

Big Ben stood his ground well , but the Team was running on all cylinders when they had their two awesome seasons with Asphaltburger.

And use Who for a Quarterback ?
Kansas City won't trade Oakland for Green
Maybe Drew Bledsoe for a FA ????

If they don't get a decent Veteran Quarterback or Something to soilidify the Quarterback position there will be a Mutiny in that Locker Room.

On another subject the NFL is now trying to Copyright the Term " The Big Game ". Major Retail Suppliers and Food Companies are not allowed to utter the words Super Bowl when Advertising food deals or selling TVs. So they use the Term " The Big Game ".

EDSBS » Archive » NFL WANTS TO TRADEMARK “THE BIG GAME,” FOOTBALL, THE WORD “BOOM”

Since when can you Copyright a sentence that has been around before the NFL even existed ??? Enough is Enough
