You guys are all obsessed with Thomas Jones. You don't know it, but I'm from the town where Adrian Peterson, 2nd string RB is from.
This is a huge thing for us, it means more play time for him, you don't know what it brings to our town.
And also you never know how good Cedric Benson may be..
We'll find out this year.

Hell yeah. With a RB like him the Jets'll be a much more balanced team.

Cedric Benson is a great running back as well, it's just that everyone knows Jones because of this past year. They were great together... I don't know why they would trade him, it was good to alternate. They had identical stats, 4.1 avg, 6 TD, even though Benson had only half the yards Jones did.
The thing with Lance Briggs really sucks though, he is being a little outrageous about it, though. He's threatening the Bears to trade him? Or what? This just proves he's all about the money (even though his salary increased over tenfold with the franchise tag), and he's too dumb to realize he has no option but to stay with the Bears if they want him to. As pointed out by someone else, he either sits at home and doesn't get paid, or he'll go out and play for the Bears. Sure the Bears could trade him, but I don't see why he'd ***** them out for this.

From what I've heard Jones wan't wanting to share the RB duties and Benson was pissed at not getting more carries. It was a steal for the Jets

Yeah it was. The Bears got moved up like 20 picks in the draft, the second round. Horrible. Hopefully Benson will come through the whole season like he showed this past year.

In the end, resistance is futile against the Cowboys.

Bills just traded Willis McGahee to the Ravens for a few draft picks. The article says McGahee was traded due to the problems the Bills were having with his contract. That takes care of the Ravens need at running back, but opens another hole for the Bills.

Jamal Lewis as signed with the Brownies. They now have a RB that fits their up the gut running style.

I'm so happy we got Willis gone for 2 3rd round and 1 7th round pick. And that dosent really open another hole we already have 2 2nd round picks, We can just draft Lynch then have him and A-Train share carries
LOL Pete Prisco Blasts the Ravens for the trade.

There are a lot of things about the NFL free-agency period that perplex me, but none more than teams' desire to acquire somebody else's running back, all those carries on the body and all.
Some are even foolish enough to trade draft picks and give out plenty of money, too.
The latest is Baltimore, forced to do so because its own castoff, Jamal Lewis, was signed by the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens traded three draft picks Thursday to acquire Willis McGahee from the Buffalo Bills. They gave up a third and a seventh in this year's draft, plus a third in 2008.
What did they get? The got a running back who has a major ACL injury on his resume, one with a 3.9-yards-per-rush average. The Ravens see it differently.
I just don't get the move. ............

Something that I was not expecting happened this morning;
Free agent RB Dominic Rhodes reached agreement Friday morning on a two-year, $7.5 million contract with the Oakland Raiders.
I just knew he was going to somewhere in NY...
