Well you have to look at it like this, He was going to be traded for a forth round pick and then not gueerented(sp?) a starting job which he would have won anyways in training camp, Thats like a slap in the face, I would have done the same thing.

Dre' Bly reportedly wants to play for the Redskins, and could force a trade from Denver.
Bly and Washington were negotiating a contract when it looked like he might be traded to Washington. Denver coach Mike Shanahan reportedly likes Shawn Springs and Ladell Betts, so there is a chance trade talks will resume. Bly reportedly agreed to terms on a new deal with Denver, but nothing has been signed.

Why not? if the trade dose go through w/o Springs being traded then they will have 3 star CBs?

Quote:
The Lions are meeting with T.J. Duckett on Sunday and could be looking to trade newly acquired RB Tatum Bell.

RB Corey Dillon has let it be known the he would like to play for either the Jets or Ravens. Lets see how that mid-field handshake works out next season if Dillon inks with the Jets.

The Broncos and Bills are discussing a trade that would send RB Willis McGahee to Denver in exchange for a third round pick.

The Falcons are interested in WR Joe Horn, just what the doctor ordered for Michael Vick.

The NFC East is battling for the rights to T Leonard Davis as the Giants, Cowboys and Redskins are said to be in the running.

The Browns, Benglas and Dolphins are interested in Joey Porter.

I somewhat diagree...
It was Denver's decision what & where to let him go to/for ( 4th Rounder ). And their parting wasn't going to be a pleasant one anyway. The Bucs would never just come right out, especially this soon and say " Jake's Our Starter !!!! " . Jake just wants to be in control of his own destiny. It's no secret in Tampa Bay that Jon Gruden does not care for Chris Simms at all. Hopefully, we'll deal Jake to the Texans were he 'll be named the starter before the ink dries, only because of Kubiak. Or Tampa can deal him to Oakland where Jake can seek vengance twice a season on the team he probably feels betrayed him.
If Denver / Shannahan cared about Jake they would've shown him respect and shipped him to the Texans. Jake ain't havin it

Conspiracy Theorists Say
Nobody knows the Raiders like Tampa Bay ( Gruden / Allen ).
Tampa Bay locks up both best fits for Oakland in order to force Oakland to take a Quarterback in the Draft. Deal Plummer to the Raiders or Texans after the draft, and get Calvin Johnson in the Draft and better compensation for what they got Plummer for. Now that's a game of Chess and a roll of the Dice.

I doubt they would waste there 1st round pick from last year just to over pay Porter. And if they did, well more power to them, I just think it would be a redundant thing to do.

Overpay? He is well worth whatever amount whichever team decides to give him. He's one of the best LBs in the game. If you want to see someone get overpayed, look at Nate Clemons(or Clements, whatever) for the 49ers. 80 MIL?!?! That my friend is overpayed.

I agree
That's probably what every player feels like doing that gets released, after performing so well. Although, I've read that Porter has no hard feelings over it. Porter's in the Drivers seat and can make about 7 Teams back up the Brinks truck for him. He could easily sign on to a Team that has a better chance of him getting another ring.
