Anderson started the second game of the season against the Bengals. I don't know that the season opener against the Steelers would have gone any differently with Anderson at QB.

Ravens fire Brain Billick.

I feel this is a terrible move. This guy can coach and his defense is always strong. Right now they need to get some young blood in their defense as they are starting to age.

He's a genius on defense but offense has been a problem. The Ravens could have been a possible good team again this year but they need to get a better than decent QB.

Should have just relieved him of his duties as offensive coordinator. Yes, going from 13-3 to 5-11 in one season is bad, but look at all the factors that played into it.

McNair was turning the ball over AND dealing with nagging injuries all season until he was finally put on the shelf.
Boller has a bad history with Ravens fans.
Troy Smith is a rookie
One of their top WRs was out for the first few weeks
Todd Heap is a *****

Most of their problems came as an offense. Billick was the offensive coordinator and head coach. Why fire him if he is only doing one of his jobs really really poorly?

No, this was the right move. None of the players respected him or stood by him anymore. It doesn't matter how good of a coach you are, if your players are not following you, you will not win games. He will be a good coach elsewhere but he needed to be fired for the good of the team.

It doesn't help though when the locker room is divided. The offensive and defensive players seemed to pissed at each other. You have a defense who has had a good season with some bad games while the offense seemed to turn the ball over nearly every drive.

I still think it's a bad move though. The team needs an overhaul on players. Guys like Ray Lewis I feel should be traded for draft picks so the team can start getting some young players.
