Damn Heat Wave

This stupid Heat wave up in NYC, is messing with the electricity too much, everything in my fridge is freaking hot, no more ham (con Edison's fault) no more cold soda Dammit theres no good food, next option is oreos but I don't want to eat oreos at 11:30 in the night. Same goes with my dam A/C it can be 60 degrees and its throwing hot air out. So anyone else experiencing this?

You guys got it off easy right now. I live in California and we just got done with a heat wave. We had 100+ for a week and a half. I think it got like 110 here once. Not fun. Especially with power outages everywhere. By the way, whats the temperature over there at?

This week it was 100+ each day. Highest was 117. We didn't have power problems, but we did reach a record igh for power consumption.

The other problems with the heat wave were the tornados and severe thunderstorms caused when the low pressure hit.

Long Island saw 105 today but the heat index was somewhere up in the 110s. I am a lifeguard so I'm outside allllll day and I didn't think it was that bad.

We had to put a tent over our ac b/c it wasn't coping in the sun =\ And I went to play raquetball today, got sweaty as I've ever been, and rushed home to jump in the pool. Surprise, when I jump in it only makes me hotter because the water itself is 90+ degrees. I ended up cooling off w/ the hose.
