IRC - Go at own risk

If you download it, you can still go...i think its better that way. The site chat link didnt allways work for me but using regular IRC is faster and better imo.

There's nothing any more dangerous about using IRC than there is for simply surfing the web...

If your system is vulnerable, then it's vulnerable. If you aren't, then you have no problems.

If you don't mind, I'd like to see these so-called "IRC port hacks"... If you could send me the link in a PM that'd be nice. (Note I don't play on "using" any of this junk, as I doubt there's anything of any relevance there anyway. I'm just curious as to what they claim are vulnerabilities specific to IRC...)

All they can do is send a trojan to your computer, which you have to be directly connected to with a script. If you're stupid enough to direct connect with someone on IRC, then you deserve to get a trojan.

I'll need to check out what kind of modifications I can add with vBulletin. If i can find a chat with word sensors enabled, then were good to go. But we'll have to wait till we switch over to the main video game themed site.

Im also thinking of adding a Video Game mod where registered members here can compete for high scores while playing particular games here on the forums..

You could simply prevent this from happening by having Chat Moderators specifically for the chatbox. Or you could add several age requirement chat rooms.

We have chat moderators and they do a fine job of kicking the idiots out. Its just that in a chat, conversations sway from socom to.....kinky anal sex stories.

We have an age requirement for this site and that works awsome lets get one for the chat.


The chat would still be nice to have as public link. Not much traffic in their when its not public.
