I cant vote!

Well, basically what the title says. Everytime I go to vote someone off, my PS2 freezes and I have to reboot. Is it something to do with my disk or the PS2 itself?

I think its because I am not a natural born US citizen so I cant vote in any real election, it must carry over to SOCOM 3.

But seriously, I started to notice more and more annoying people on SOCOM 3 in the last week and when the team gets together to vote, I end up trying to vote and I freeze up! :?

All I do is press O and then go to the vote, when I press X then thats my problem.

Is your disc real scracted?
Your probably right, its most likely your disc, if it happens to you everytime you try to vote...

Ok, I checked my disk and it doesnt look scratched but I never take it out of my PS2 for more than a few minutes, could it be that?

It depends on which version of ps2 you have. If you have a slim version, leaving the disc in the system and moving it around can damage both the disc and the ps2. I've already had to buy a new one because the dvd player in my old one got screwed up and I think thats why.

I have the big PS2, and I always leave it in there... so that isnt the problem for the big PS2, but maybe you have the problem posted above me?

This happens to me as well. Sometimes when I go to vote someone or send a friend invite the game freezes up.

i got the same problem im going real good then go to vote a stopid kid and it freezes

Thats my exact problem, I think I will take the advise of a few people and take the game out while Im not playing. I know that my cousin had an old Sega Megadrive and when you left those games in, when you wanted to play a different game you would have to put the previus game in first then the one you wanted to play. Thats obviously with those cartridge games but I expect it works on the same basis.

I don't really think that your problem is leaving your disc inside the PS2, unless you have the slim one and the problem above with moving it may be right. I, like Dionysus have always left my disc inside the PS2 (Old Version) and have never really had any problems until a problem I will describe in a second, I just want to get done helping you first. Well the disc might have a scratch or something in its software or w/e that is causing the problem. It might not have been you, it could have been "natural causes" LoL. Well yea with all that said, I have been noticing my game freeze alot more during this week, maybe its a problem with my disc too.

Bottom line is that the only way to find out is to test it with another Socom 3 game. I suggest to go to blockbuster or wherever you rent games and switch the games. They won't notice unless their game is stamped. Well yea thats all I really have to say.
