I definitely think Zipper tried to use the ranking system to fix too many complaints about socom 2 (teamkillers, rank-ups, quitters, disconnects, etc.). They should have just left the formula alone. I mean teamkillers dont care about their rank. Thats why they are teamkillers lol. So now we can get penalized because we see someone moving in the distance...but the blue dot on the radar doesnt show...so we accidentally get a teamkill and busted rank points!!
As for disconnects and quits, I know a lot of people complained that folks would quit if they were having a bad game an such... WHO CARES?!?! Does that affect your own K/D ratio? Besides, if they were stinkin up the place, you should be happy they quit! LOL
I personally have thrown my hands up on the whole rank/stat thing. It just doesnt matter to me anymore. My best friend on the game quit all together cause the stats dont track right.
