I like the ghille suite on some maps...others I like to have the option of have 4 nades (Blackwoods with the Ghille is the best map to wear that heavy bush on your back)

But I completely agree. Quick-sniping is very gay. Its for fools who dont understand the true nature of war and sportsmanship. If you want to play like that, jumping around like an a-hole, go play Halo or something.
I'm actually really disappointed in how the developers allowed for this type of shotty gameplay manipulation. In a game thats supposed to be so realistic, quick-sniping (or scoping) only ruins it.

"Fools that dont understand the true nature of war and sportsmanship?" what are you talking about? its a VIDEO GAME! your suppose to have fun and try to improve your skills. What tactics do you use? stealth? like everyone else says. Explain what stealth is in this game. Stealth is hiding and camping somewhere trying to sneak around from bush to bush or object to object. I just run around and quick snipe because i can and i will. Running and gunning with any gun, whether it be a rifle can vastly improve your skill. Being stealthy can only improve your camping skills. When a camper does run into a gun fight, most of the time he losses because he hasent practiced his gun fighting enough and only camps. Go play Deer hunter or something if you wanna camp!

Yeah and how exactly would you propose to stop people from quick sniping, its not like theyre doing something illegal or manipulating anything...its called lining up the shot and bam

"Its A VIDEO GAME have fun. . . " listen to your own advice and shut up about people with ghilleis that camp. the only people i see complaining about camping are those who cant kill the person. i adapt to my enemy and if i need to snipe i will. . if i need to run and gun i will. stop you complaining and play the game just like you said.
Why dont you just say no more silencers either dude. i mean you can never tell where someone is with a silencer.
also, when you jump, the crosshairs stay steady therefore when you zoom in you are perfectly on target. you wanna line up a shot, do it standing straight up with out moving. then you have skill.

You're absolutly ridiculous. Camping is what ruins this game. Camping is all this game is about. Why have so many people left this game and gone back to s2? because of the camping. How long have you played the socom series? S3 is the first one you played isnt it?
Ban silencers? your crosshairs are steady when you jump? what in god's name are you talkin about? crosshairs only stay steady after 3-5 seconds of being in scope. Not in .02 seconds lol. I can snipe while in the air, standing, crouching, proning, you name it. Why would you wanna stand straight up and snipe someone anyways? why not crouch or better yet snipe them when you're in the air.

i dont know what you mean my "quickscoping"... whether you mean using an automatic with, say, a 4x scope... or those annoying flamers who jump around with a sniper rifle and kill you in mid-air.
quicksniping = gay.
but i can't even tell you how many times ive had guys run right passed me while im laying in the grass in my ghille.
and am I the only one who thinks the ghille on Crucible is completely pointless and un-necessary? You completely GLOW in the tunnels. Only way it comes in use is if your laying on the ground in the "village" area with the sheds... but who lays on the ground?

Actually I have to disagree, yes camping is more prevalent in this game becasue the levels are bigger and such but it adds another spect to the game. If you want to defeat campers employ strategy, thats all. Most snipers camp becaus thats their job...only few people learn how to quicksnipe, so most campers lay low (and I dont think it ruins the game, sorry)

Quicksniping is kind of stupid. I like sniping but I definitely don't camp, I don't have that kind of patience. I run around and find different hiding spots, survey the area for any threats and if I don't find any, I move on. But I personally find more satisfaction in being able to find an enemy and if I don't have a good shot, moving up behind him and poppin him instead of running towards him, jumping in the air, scoping in and getting an easy shot off.
Besides, if you have supposedly 'mastered' the so-called "ART" of 'quicksniping' (which takes a lot of practice so I've heard) then you obviously spend way too much time playing playstation....

Ok, so you call someone a n00b because they were hiding in a bush with a ghillie suit, they shoot you, now you're dead... I say the n00b is the one that just got killed. But that's only my opinion.
If you're playing against someone who is camping, you have to adjust your strategy instead of playing into theirs. They want you to come out so they can line up their cross-hairs on your head, you have to find some way to kill them without letting them do that. Don't just complain about them camping, find a way to outsmart them.
Personally, I like the ghillie suits, but it depends on the map. They work best on large maps where sniper rifles are the only thing with the range to make your kills without having to run half way across first.

There are other forms of stealth other than camping... just because you can't see my team doesn't mean we're sitting still... we're just not dumb enought to engage in a direct fire-fight unless we have too... even if the guy is jumping around in the open with a sniper rifle. Usually, the guy "camping" is watching your team (if your working as one) and calling them out while the another one distracts and the rest flank you. So I guess if you call "stealth" camping, I guess your opinion is your opinion, but I call it strategy. ;)
