question about friends list

is it possible the dissconnects and your friends list are somehow related. i am newly verified and as soon as i played a few games i got some friend invites. just to see what it was all about i added a few. thats when i started getting dissconnects. these people i never even talked to and i really dont remember playing with them but i got an invite from them. after about 7 games counting as dissconnects i removed these people from my friends list just to see since i dont know them anyhow. now my games are all kept right. just a thought. i know nothing about how this stuff works, but it seems to have temporalrily fixed it. but theres always tomorrow.

I would say probably coincidence, there is really no way that a friends list could affect connectivity to the server.

This could be if you got a hacker on your friends list im sure there is some way to get hacked on socom and im sure someone is one. I say if you don't know them don't add them and if you do add them and you start disconecting get them off!! (this is like a computer!

Also doubtful, I dont think that hacking a friends list is of any benefit to someone, which I doubt is even possible. Even if it was what would that have to do with disconnects...ill tell you, absolutely nothing.

Well then your problem is not the list at all...thats a problem everyone is having and it has to do with Zipper, so its just something thats gonna happen no matter what.

yeah i had read others where having problems. and it probably was just a coincidence that the games are scored correctly now that i have taken the names off my list. since i know very little about how all this stuff works i figured someone on here could answer my question. i appreciate your comments. i was just throwing it out there

scoring problems are par for the course. I have even come on and already had kills and deaths without even moving. I think sometimes if you come on at the same time someone else leaves or lags out you get their stats. I have never quit a game, but I still have quits on my stats. Everyone has these some problems so I guess it is fair.

There's also the unconfirmed theory that at the end of the game, on the final scoreboard, if there are blank areas it gives you a disconnect.

It's been discussed several times, though never confirmed.

Come to think about it...everytime I play a game,and everyone isnt shown on the scoreboard, it counts as a disconnect.I thought that too.
