Not my fault.
That article should have had some kind of a warning or at least a rating so I could tell before reading it how retarded some of the subject matter could be.

This is our taxpayers dollars at work. I say if all of us with hold our taxes, then they would be forced to listen to us. That’s the typical Democratic Party for you. Clinton and Lebormon spitting in the peoples eyes. I wish those flying douche bags would stay out of my life. I check out all games before I give them to my daughter. I don’t want the government telling me that I can’t let my daughter play super smash brothers with me, because it is violent. Come on give me a break. This is the biggest reason I’m a republican. They stay out of my freaking life.

Republican all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel the same way. No one will make the decisions for my child except me (and my Wife), lest they feel the wrath of the backside of my hand.

Personally I think thee should be more control over games content... not in respect to violence in games, violence is out of bounds to 99% of kids who play games, they just wouldn't do it
What I would like to see eradicated is the seedier aspects of 18 rated games... like prostitution in GTA... I have completed those game without using a hooker, and nobody ever has to use one, they are just thee as a sick joke... drugs use too... a teen playing these games can easily obtain drugs when they see characters from games using them
I know you may say it is 18 so as kids can't play it but they can, it is very easy to get a copy of the game... if you are 18 or over, what the **** are you doing buying a game with prostitutes in it? go get laid! or better yet, make them remove hookers from the game! okay... maybe the laid bnit would be better, I dunno...

Heres my thoughts....NOTHING should be changed in games. its just liek movies and with the rating system in place that should cover the game industry just like movies. what NEEDS to be done is pass a law to where the PARENTS are actually held responsible for what thier kids do if influenced by playing a game, watching a movie etc that they are CLEARLY not suppose to when a rating system is in place. i bet if mommy and daddy had to pay fines or serve some time cause lil jimmy thought it would be cool to go shoot up a school etc then boy i bet youd see an increase in better parenting and parents actually keeping in touch with thier kids. kids have it made these days more than us older folks because it seems parents arent as involved in thier every day life as they should be. they buy them a computer, dvd player, or video game system to keep them occupied etc then act all shocked when somethign goes wrong because they didnt "pay attention" to what that kids was playingm, watching, surfing through etc. stricter laws should be in place for these types of incidents but no way shoudl ANY restriction be put on a form of "art" whcih music, movies, plays, games, paintings, etc fall under.i think by dodint this it would really make parents think before buying thier 13 yr old son/daughter that copy of GTA 6 etc.....
just a thought though.

Exactly... that's why I said, "God bless the ESRB" earlier in this thread.

The parents should help to educate their children that violent is bad and they should not follow. It's ok to have violent games but we must also do our parts to prevent users from becoming one....

That kinda misses the point. You are correct that educating kids is very important, but it is even more important for parents to know what their kids are doing, and make sure that their entertainment is appropriate for their age and maturity level.
