I'm not saying that all the people out there already have their front grip and med. scope, (notice I say "their"? Everyone gets it eventually, like a license :) )
but I think the M4A1 with Front Grip and Medium Scope is quite possibly the most versatile weapon possible. The only other one I could say is maybe the IW with high scope/front grip, but it's heavy and shoots slower.

So try it: M4A1 + Front Grip + Medium Scope

Novice players are better out without the scope until they get really good at sniping with the big guns, then u can try sniping with the assault rifles. im with everybody else, rifle lazer doesnt so much except on shotties.

results work best when you complete the campaign on at least captain and unlock at least your front grip/medium scope. playing thru the campaign 2 or 3 times, while boring, will also get you to know the maps decently enough (and play control points to fill out the blanks). the front grip really makes assult rifles as accurate as all those subz (which come with pistol grips automatically). the gap between the F90 and everything else shrinks a bit when u stick that front grip on the assult rifle. Not everybody should carry smoke, only a couple of people for gettin tricky control points or for planting bombs in demo.

* For choosing between Red and White smoke, white smoke provides better cover, is thicker, and you get 3 of them, doesnt work as well when your outfit is dark. Red smoke deploys quicker, is not as thick, and you only get 2 of those. A combination of both works best.

* When playing maps with the tank, or are playing any convoy, substitute one or both of the M67 with HE, so you can damange vehicles with it.*

Run/Gun Terrorists (none of these will weigh you down):
F90 + suppressor + M67 + M67/Smoke
552 + suppressor + front grip + M67 + M67/Smoke
RTK74 + M67 + M67/Smoke
STG77 + supressor + front grip + M67 + M67/Smoke

Run/Gun Seals (none of these will weight you down):
HK5 + M67 + M67/Smoke (if you stick the suppressor on it, range will decrease)
M4A1 + suppressor 1 + front grip + M67 + M67/Smoke
HK36 + suppressor 1 + front grip + M67 + M67/Smoke
M14 + M67 + M67/Smoke
MK48 + front grip + M67 + M67/Smoke
IW80 + front grip + suppressor 1 + M67 + M67/Smoke (will weigh you down a bit unless you carry a smoke)

Camping/Defensive Terrorists (no ghillie configuration, M2's are nice for vehicle maps/not convoy, front grip does nothing for accuracy while prone)
F90 + suppressor + M67 + PMN/M2 Mine
STG77 + suppressor + (front grip) + M67 + PMN/M2 Mine
552 + suppressor + (front grip) + M67 + PMN/M2 Mine

Camping/Defensive Seals (no ghillie configuration, M2's are nice for vehicle maps/convoy, front grip does nothing for accuracy while prone)

HK5 + suppressor + Claymore/M2 + M67
M4A1 + suppressor 2 + (front grip) + M67 + Claymore/M2
HK36 + suppressor 2 + (front grip) + M67 + Claymore/M2

Sniper Configurations (no ghillie, might weight you down a bit)
M87ELR/M82A1 + High Scope + M67 + Smoke/M67 (if you choose a 2nd M67, the amount of slowdown will vary with ur pistol. F57/9mm will slow you down the least.)
SR-25 + Medium Scope/12x Scope + suppressor + M67 + Smoke/M67
SASR + 12x scope + suppressor + M67 + Smoke/M67

Ghillie Configurations (usually will weigh you down, especially with the heavier guns and/or claymores/PMN, IW80 is not recommended because of its weight, especially when included with the ghillie and M67, but it is usuable, and IMO guns that cant fit a suppressor defeats the purpose of having a ghillie, except for the M87/M82)
HK5 + suppressor + M67/Claymore
HK36 + suppressor 1 or 2 + front grip+ M67
M4A1 + suppressor 1 or 2 + front grip + M67
F90 + suppressor + M67/PMN
552 + suppressor + front grip + M67
STG77 + suppressor + front grip + M67
SR25 + suppressor + medium scope/12x scope + M67
M87ELR + high scope + Smoke
SASR + suppressor + 12x scope + M67
M82A1 + high scope + Smoke

Convoy Setups (for seals, obviously. suppressors are taken off for the interest of weight)
M4A1/HK36/M14 + (HE + HE)/(HE + M2 Mine)
HK5 + (HE + HE)/(HE + M2 Mine)/(AT4 + AT4)
SR25 + suppressor + medium scope/12x scope + M2 Mine/HE
M87ELR + high scope + M2 Mine/HE
Seals should get a good mix of all 3 (M2/HE/AT4), but have lots of M2 mines, and randomly place them at the various hot spots around the map.

Depends really what mood im in, for seals i'll probably go with M4, either 4x scope, or low scope, and then a silencer, for terrorist, AK47, with laster and low scope.

You said you liked the low scope or 4x scope on ur m4. Never put a low scope on anything, it is completely pointless. 4x scope weighs less, zooms further, and is much more efficient overall.
