wow you are the only one who actually got the answer right. The reason why the maps are not as fun is because they are streamed. Now what do I mean by that? Well, because the maps are steamed, the game can process BIGGER MAPS. Now, thats about all the game can process - it can not process DETAILED maps. Here is an example. The area from the barn to the large hill where terrorists spawn is just flat open plain. You can't really hide its just open space. Even in the detailed parts of the maps they are still plan with no substance. And when the map becomes complicated, detailed and there are 32 players in the game the MAP LAGS REALLY BAD (Citedal).
I can get past this because its quite fun to actually have 15 teammates to strategize. It is fun to send 3 teams of 5 players on different parts of the map. one team take care of one spawn point, another team take care of driving the cars and boats etc.....
Some maps are just not suited to be played certain ways. Harvester small is a terrorist map to the fullest. Terrorists can rush to the wind mill, throw gernades and shut off that whole side ALL THE WHILE TERRORIST SNIPERS shooting at the seal spawn.
I think this game is not designed for noobies. People can not just attend a public game without knowing anybody because it is impossible to know and learn 16 different players playing style. I dont even know why people actually play Suppression. It is camp fest..no teamwork needed. However the noobs love the fact that the rounds end fast (RESULT OF CHRONIC ADD)
Here are some maps that actually work for the greater good of socom.
Blackwoods demo or escort.
Killing Fields demo, control points
Harvester demo
Crucible convoy
Devils road control points
Fault Suppression, breach
STORM FRONT escort
try out these maps or offer insight. Again, SOCOM 3 is not for idiots (NOOBS)
