This doesn't bother me. I only play suppression. I will jump in a convoy every once in a while if all suppressions are full. If I played other missions such as demo or control, it might make a difference to me.

It seems to me though the more options you have for each map the better.

This is kinda related to maps but mostly about the servers. Doesn't bother anyone that all the default rooms are unscored unless you're in the rank restricted servers?

I understand the point behind that but it makes it really hard to play with your friends if you're not all the same rank. We hate sifting through who knows how many usercreated rooms that'll have some crazy setting on or off. Back in S1&S2 we would just jump in a breach medley or extraction room and be there all night. Now it's too big of a pain for us to want to find a room.

Just wondering if anyone else felt the same.

I agree about the new maps being unenjoyable. I find myself either waiting Way to F***ing Long for the next round to start because I died or Searching Way to F***ing long for the people left I have to kill to win the round. My biggest gripe, who the hell thought of having more people left made it ok to grant them to win the round??? You might disagree with this but think about it, this has a huge effect on the gameplay!!. It sounds good, but it's overall effect is bad!!! What about that last guy still alive, think!!....thats you and me where taking about!!!! we have all been there!!!

There was a certain magic that SOCOM 2 maps had that made them so addictive in there style of play is what we all miss!!!!. In SOCOM 2, the maps like Crossroads, Desert Glory and Fishhook, were small quick maps that almost forced engagement weather you liked it or not. I believe these quick firefights and rounds ending in the first 2 minutes made it more fun, You just wanted more and more!!!.

We all hold a special place for the SOCOM 2 maps in all of us. I remember all the gripes people had with the SOCOM 2 maps and there downfalls when thats all we had to play on. Well look at us now, even with there shortcomings we look back at them now and see that they really where excellent maps and they shined in there gameplay.

Couldn't have said it any better. Socom 2 maps were just amazing. Small maps just don't get it done because they are just supression, and most maps on socom 3 were just not as brilliant as those in socom 2.

Well, Maybe you shouldnt die so quickly and then you wouldnt have to wait so long for the next round to begin. You could do what other people do when they are dead watch TV or watch other players so you see where the enemy is hiding. You could also dust off your Socom 2 disk, stop complaining, and play it.

true, if they made the maps fit for what type of game it is (demo, convy control. ect) then socom3 would be a better game

i think demo and control are fine right now but not escort or extraction

If these people are like me, then they can't stand sitting around all game in 1 spot waiting for that 1 person to walk by. So instead, you run and rush, then get grenaded or something very early. But you say "maybe you shouldn't die so quickly". But the only way to not die so quickly is to either a)camp wherever you are it or b)hold back until you feel comfortable enough to run out and not die so quickly. More often than not the latter won't happen. So yeah..I guess the only solution would be to get some patience. Or to just continue dieing early, learning from it, and getting better. (even though it is not a quick process)

Or c) Stop sucking.
There are few maps that you really can't rush in. Fault is probably the one map that if you rush, you will die... But there still are ways to rush without dying in like 10 seconds. Killing Fields you can rush right out there and go crazy. Harvester you can rush the windmill. etc...... Unless of course you're talking about big maps? Because you can basically rush any big map and still last long...

Yea the last part of my post basically said stop sucking by getting better.

hmm.......
killing fields: rush out and get grenaded
harvester: rush to the windmill, get sniped right before you get behind the mountain thingy (god I hate that >.>) Or get sniped but not killed leaving you with low health
harvester big (spawn 2): see harvester

On maps with multiple spawn points, you are correct about not dieing so quickly. But you have ones like Tidal Fury Demo (1 spawn point for each side). You can either run up the hill to get the satchel. If you are a SEAL you can easily be naded as soon as you get to the top of the hill. Or instead of going up the hill you can go along the beach, but alot of times there are snipers watching that, and if not, there are people in the opposite spawn waiting for people to come by.

Now of course they're ways to avoid this..gotta love strategies.

Thank You Z3CH and zacklee for clearly stating what I was saying before I was turned in for flaming. ( like I care) I'm not saying to camp I'm just saying that you should strategically move forward and not just run out and get sniped or grenaded in a suppression map and put your team down enough men to allow the other team to camp.
