Cord Pulling is this Happening?

How do people even come up with these things. Lag switchs,magic switchs, give me a break doesnt it mess up your router or internet.

lets clear some things out

cord pulling is also called lag switch/magic switch

it is true that if you pull your cord out from the ps2 you will get booted in 4 seconds. but if you pull your modem cord to router cord, you get about 30 on a 7ft cable. now lag switch is cutting a certain wire on your cord and attaching a switch onto it. people buy 70ft cords to get extreme lag time. now stand by is also from router to modem. so you get about 30 seconds.

in my oppinon i see alot more cordpullers on socom3 then socom2. on ebay they sell these lag switches. and it was advertised so alot of the no life nerds buy these. it is a 60ft cord coiled in a stomp pad. the stomp pad is the switch so your handsfree. who the hell would make this, iounno dont really care.

sometimes its not just a standby/lag switch its net tools. which i have for my computer. people use this for freezing the ps2s internet. which is really crazy for people to find this out.

Yea I was playing a Fault game where one kid was telling another how to make a lag switch using a light switch or a foot thing like mygot said. it was pretty gay, so we voted em out before he could tell the kid how to make it work and he started crying and bitching so we voted him out too.

Seriously anyone who has the time or desire to do this is pretty stupid.

those are two completely different things. Cord pulling, or cabling, is when you manually take the cable out of your ps2, thus cabling. A lag switch or majic switch, is when people splice their ethernet cords in order to obtain a switch button, where they can flick it and get the same effects as cabling, only for longer periods of time.

bob your correct about that.

but when people consider he pulled his cord, he isnt actually pulling it. you know how hard it would be to pull the cord out while your in a firefight.

When I used to cable back in Socom 2, I had my brother do it, it was easy. I only did it a couple times, and in spawns, when i was host, so it was more of a joke than anything, so don't go "omFg teH CabLer!11!!1". It was just as a joke, to lag up the room, for some giggles.

To be honest I haven't seen cableling on Socom 3. I havent seen that much lag on it, thats a good thing for me I guess. :)

yea sadly i dont have a brother to do that for me heh.

but when i was at my friends house with 2 other people on socom2. we had names like LAGGER 1 LAGGER 2 LAGGER 3 LAGGER 4. we used his stand by and lag at the same time. it was so funny.

nope, you cant pull your cords in S3, you get almost instantly disconnected, you dont have enough time to pull it, kill someone, then put it back in.

iv tried cord pulling as a counter-attack for cord pulling...
it booted my right when i pulled it out 8(
