Why do guys byotch about camping?
Just curious? I don't camp a whole game, but, to me, its plain silly to run out get killed right off of the bat. Now, camping when your team has a huge lead, well, thats lame. But why does everyone get on the snipers, or guys holding a defensive position? this is, after all, a game about WAR. In real battle, you don't see guys running & jumping all around. Maybe if S4 in PS3 can have a nice painful electrical shock when you get shot, it will stop these fools from running around like pop up targets!

I usually take it slow for the first minute or two of the game. People complain about camping because its lame. It sortof ruins the game somtimes IMO if it ends up to be a tie and the people just camp- its annoying. When I play, I want to play like everyone else, not watch a coward sit in the same spot for the rest of the round. But if its camping like you mentions "holding a defensive position" i think is completely fine because it makes the game fun. The camping i was talking about before is the lame camping, like when people camp around a corner the whole game thats annoying.

I dont see the big deal with camping. The only people that complain are the ones that get shot by the campers every round and have yet to figure out how to kill them. Funny thing is, is that they'll try and find ur spot every round and u can keep picking them off. After their 3rd death they'll ***** and moan about how much of a ***** u r for camping when they're the ones stupid enough to keep returning the same way every round.

here is how i look at it. If you are in any suppression map 16 vs 16 lets say 7 people on your team are rushers and go out and get killed in the first minute to minute and a half of the game. This gives you a 7 man disadvantage already only a short time into the map. This will promote camping since they have no reason to run around and find anyone to kill with a 7 man advantage. So, In light of this scenario would you rather be down 7 men or up 7 men ask yourself that question???????

People are probably just angry at the campers because
A.It's supression and the winning team al hide.
B.They're dead and have to wait a while watching campers.
Me, I camp sometimes, not like a lot of these fools however. In most games, if I'm not sniping, I'll:
1)Wait in my spawn til the random nades die off.
2)Run out and try to pick off some enemy rushers.
3)Take up a position further in
4)Wait 30 sec or so without seeing enemies
5)Run ahead some more
Repeat

My opinion is i hate camping period. not so much the snipers but just campers in general. i know of a few true snipers that dont rely on guille suits and hidding in bushes to get there kills. they can stop and shot you from a distance in a split second or kill you from close range with there pistol before you even get a shot off. maps like antenora and blackwoods are ruined b/c of campers.
You talk about "WAR" and "real battle" but in those situations a person isnt givin 5 or 6 minutes to find some guy pretending to be a bush. if you got a number of players in one room and once the round started everyone on both teams hid in the nearest bush would anyone die ??? the answer is yes b/c eventually someone is gonna get bored of camping and move in and if not then well you got a very boring game ahead of you.
Personally i play a lot of NIGHT maps since its hard for someone to hide while using the night vision.

You said true snipers are the ones that don't rely on bushes and ghillies for kills. Where the hell did you get that idea? Real snipers in the military are the ones who find as much cover as possible, and no how to stay in one spot being patient for hours, or days if recon. Thinking true snipers run out in the middle of a field and quicksnipe or whatever, is the dumbest logic I've ever heard. It's also unrealistic.

How can you not keep members of your team at your base on demolition maps? If you leave the base unguarded then the enemy will undoubtedly go there and plant the bomb and win. The same goes for the extraction points for the convoy and hostages.

Thank you for solidgun for backing me up on this one. What should be considered strategy guarding the base, extraction zone, ect. is considered camping for some reason. People can say whatever they want and complain about whatever but, the fact of the matter is "camping" has been going on since socom 1 and will never end.
