I need a clear answer on how to get my headset to work

Ok, I have a Linksys router and yes I have read the Sticky about how to get your mic to work if you have a Linksys WRT54G router but that thread is very very very very very unclear. Almost each post contradicts the next post and I'm scared to try any of those since I don't want to mess up my computer, or internet connection.

So here's the deal, I just bought a new Logitech USB headset and plugged it in and all and it seemed fine. The headset icon appeared by my name and I can see when peole are talking since the icon lights up red a lot but I can not hear anybody and I cannot talk, my mute button is off and I have the volume up all the way. I have the radio ON and put it on ALL but I still can't hear anybody. So does anybody know the problem?

Do you know how to access your routers hardware/options section to open up ports?

Answer this first and I will go from there.

BTW, my mic was working fine when I was playing 25 to Life, but not with SOCOM

your pretty much fed in the a if you cant figure out how to configure your router. have a technition or search some more on the internet in order to go and try it.

What? Nobody hear knows how to get to the router configurations? Is it through the computer or PS2?

Well I have found out to go to here (http://192.168.1.1) to configure my router but I have no clue what ports I'm supposed to enable or and what not. I know the DMZ should be enabled but thats all.

Yup you go there then you go to port forwarding but i haqve no clue about this dmz bs i know how to enable it but no clue what to put in the boxes after the ip number?

Same here I found that much out myself but know clue where to go from there. This is really pissing me off, my clan is starting to get pissed off I dont have a mic working.
