Maximum Effective Range
Hi, I've run some searches and looked through the stickies and haven't found anything, but if I've missed something please send me a link.

Anyway, my question is this: Has anyone taken the time to find out what the range bar in the guns description actually equals (in meters)? Because I'm tired of trying to snipe people with an assault rifle only to have my bullets do nothing by the time they get there. Also, I was wondering how much range you lose by putting the suppressors on to the gun.

I know you can see the range in the scope when you go to snipe, but I don't have anyone to figure this theory out with. If anyone could help me, I'd be very grateful! Thanks!

Glad to be of service: Don't snipe. You'd only be joining the legions of proned pussies.

snipers are real people real postions in the seals there defintley skill involved. I if you get killed more then once by a sniper then its your fault, once he kills you , he loses position.

You know, there are schools available for people with your type of problem. I'm sure anyone else that reads this can see what I'm talking about. Send me a PM, and I will give you some numbers of places in your area that offer higher education...

I snipe, and I never prone. And I'm better than you.

Negative, at everything.

Snpers are effective at a solid 150m-175m but once you get past there, it might take two shots to the chest to kill someone. Once you get by 200m you usually don't do any damage.
