Did Socom keep you loyal to Sony & the PS2?

Im glad you came to your senses I had a cube with the Star wars game which was cool, but that and the rsident evil titles were my only reason for owning one. My gamecube is currently my Golden Retriever's favorite chew toy.

X-box sucks, thats plain and simple! If socom wasnt on ps2, i would still play ps2

I hate X-Box too, the controlers are ridiculous. You need 3 hands just to move the damn player on a game Now that the X-Box 360 came out everyone seems to like X-Box but if the PS3 came out first people would like that more, people just want a "Next generation" console and they are not peticular about which one they get.

SOCOM rules. I hope they make another SOCOM for PS3 so ill have a reason to get the new system.

Sony and the Playstation is a better product period than xbox. It is more reliable with tried and true hardware. How many times have you heard of a ps2 or ps1 crashing. With Xbox 360 a week later many systems had to be recalled. That tells me something right there. Xbox is quickly on the path to becoming the next dreamcast.,a cheap novelty that you can play emulators on. (Side comment) I'm not even gonna get started on Revolution.

How many times have you heard of a ps2 or ps1 crashing.

I am still a Sony fan but a cetain number of PS2 systems had to be recalled because of faulty wires and another number because they started to grind inside and wouldnt work, I had one of the griniding ones back in England but mine had 'been worked on in a naughty way' so I just bought a silver PS2.

And as for the X-Box 360 been called back and as far as the Revolution goes, I too aint even going to go there All I know is both systems since the Nintendo 64 have been pretty much 'flops' and they shouldnt even be graced with shelf space in the stores.

I did forget that there were minor recalls but nothing compared to the mass number of problems the xbox as had. Also are you able to play Japenese games on your console in England or is it set the same as the US.

Im not sure about the Japanese games playing on English (PAL) systems as I have never had access to any but I'm pretty sure that you can only play PAL games. I had to buy a new PS2 when I got to the US becasue the English plus are different on the power cords and also the games are different platform, but you probably know that.

Nope it wasnt just Socom. I'd say socom was a big part of it. But The Ps2 had a big stable of hardhitting games that kept me loving the Ps2. From the GTA series( GTA II yes i mean 2 not 3---San Andreas) Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy and Madden 06. Sony produces a good quantity of quality games.

Now mind you some of these games are not Playstion exclusive but they have the biggest numbers of supporters from its playstation owners. i.e. Madden and GTA.

I hate to say it but socom is the only reason I stick with playstation. Xbox has everything ps2 does but better. I really was excited about PS3 but the more I read up on it..the more and more I was becoming disapointed. They are saying that ps3 is going to be way more difficult to code games with and is going to cost a lot more. If socom ever went to xbox I would kiss my ps2 good bye! (which is never going to happen...)
