The "Ignore" Feature

What am I missing with this feature? Everytime I try to mute someone who won't shut up, it just plain doesn't work. In fact, it changes nothing. Is there another mute button that does work? And if so, what is the ignore button for?

The mute button doesnt allow you to hear them over the mic. The ignore button I think is for when you are in the lobby (its with the friends list) and it just doesnt let that person follow you around or something. Im not sure on the ignore because I have never used it, but the mute button Im sure about.

when you put someone on the ignore list it doesnt take effect until you leave the room and comeback. when you do that the person who is ignored will be on your ignore list as well as muted whenever you join a game and that person is there.

Yeah to ignore you have to add them to your ignore list. Its by your friends list i believe. The mute button just makes it so they cant hear you... I usually dont mute another player so i dont know how to.

What is the point of the Ignore thing if it doesnt take effect until you leave the room? What if you only want to ignore someone for one game or one round? What is with these programmers lately? They're retarded!

There is a different mute button. If you go to the radio screen where you can choose different channels, it has a mute feature similar to the one in Socom 2. I think the ignore feature keeps that person from entering a room you are in in the future

I find it pretty useful actually for glitchers. if i think someone is glitching or has a magic switch i add them to my list of people i never want to play with.

Is a message sent to the person you ignore?

I know its a dumb question but I hate when you leave a clan and a big message goes to the leader saying "such-and-such has left clan such-and-such." Sometimes joining a clan is like going home with a good looking while out drinking only to realize the next morning in a sober daze that she isnt good looking...you just need to make a quiet exit without the ugly girl (clan leader) making a stir about it.
