That is pure spraying. No accuracy, therefore, no skill. I have mine of the defaults, on Socom 2, I upped my look/accel and downed my dead zone. I strafed like a beast, but couldn't aim. I could M16 like a machine, just strafe at head level, but on Socom 3, it can't be done like that. I play on the defaults (recruit I think) and use a thing not everyone knows about, accuracy. I still do pretty good.
Well I guess it's just the person because I am very accurate on SEAL.

My setting i use is seal, its been that setting ever since socom 1.

Now, to answer the question on what each attribute does.

Look speed: This is just how fast you can look around. Its just one constant speed. Think of it as your top speed on a car. What ever you set it at, you will never look faster than that. Do not confuse this with accel.

Accel: This is how fast you get to the point of your max look speed. Think if this as your gas pedle. The analog joystick straight up there is no gas, all way to which either side is floored. This just varies the sesitivity of the gas pedle.

Dead zone: all this means is how far you can move your analog stick before it responds. No dead zone you guy will move or look right away. Max means you could probably move your A stick half way before your guy reacts( not sure on that cause i never set it to the max).

hope that helps out

Dead zone is good to raise a little, if you ask me. But you don't want your guy to move immediately after you touch the analog...
