I'm not reading this thread, but this is the best place for me to say this:

A recent issue of Rolling Stone, with Keifer Sutherland on the cover, has an incredible 5-6 page article about boot camp in the Army. It was an awesome read and made me wish I was a bit younger, and maybe I'd consider enlisting.

I'm already in the military (active duty USAF). So the answer is no for me because I know it's not all about how the game is. It's NOT all fun and games. But I do have the urge to own some of their guns.

I read that article too. That was the best Stone to come out for a while.
While SOcom is a " Simulation GAme " it is after all a game. Believe me recruiters want this game too make you join the service especially with everything going on today. But To base your decisions on life from an influentional game is very reckless. I wish long ago I would have joined the service for the dicipline and the travel. But I'd have no part in it today. I hear about kids getting their contracts extended against their wishes and have no promise in sight to come home . Thats what I hear , don't know if its true. I can't imagine some kid saying to his family " Thanks mom & dad for buying me Socom 3 , it made me sign up for the service , see when I see ya and I hope I'm alive. I get MVPs' all the time so I'll be just fine "................

LOL. Yeah, good issue of RS. The Sutherland interview was cool too, I could definitely hang out with that guy and 24 owns.

If you are in the USAF, tell me your MOS, where you were trained, your current rank, and name a four star general in the Air Force. I'm sorry, but you don't sound like a military guy.

**** YES 24 OWNS!!! GREATEST SHOW EVER TO BE INTRODUCED TO MANKIND. I have seen EVERY SINGLE EPISODE since season one, and I currently own all seasons (obviously not including 5) on DVD. Speaking of 24, its on tonight! **** YEAH!! Sorry mods for going off topic, but I am sure atleast one of you watch 24 and can agree with OME6A and I.

MOS? is that Maintenance Operation Squadron or something else? MOS doesn't mean anything in general terms!!! Trained at Lackland AFB(when it was still operational), TSgt E-6, Generals don't mean much to me I'm an AMMO troop, 2WO71 to be exact! Anyone can get that information off the net anyway.

I build GBU-10,12,15,28,31's V-1 & 3's to name a few as well as the "dumb bombs" MK-82's, 84's & M117's.

If you can tell me what CFETP stands for "YOU" might hold some weight with me from now on!!
