Back when I played S2 I really thought about it.... but lately in S3 my kill to death ratio isn't as pretty and I don't really want to die more times then I kill Terrorists. It just wouldn't be worth it. And I don't know if I joined if I would get to use an SP-10 or if I would have to use somthing gay like a 9mm.

It doesn't make me want to join. I have always been fascinated with Spec Ops since I was in high school though. There is a great DVD series made by the Discovery Channel called BUDS 234, I got it for xmas and really enjoy it - it also totally reinforces the idea of playing SOCOM 3 instead of joining the navy.

I've liked all the Spec Ops stuff for awhile, before socom came out. I'm actually going to join the Navy with a SEAL challenge contract if i can get one, but that doesn't have anything to do with the game. I think if someone thinks they can be something they played in the game they're just plain stupid.

They wouldnt take 99% of people who play this game anyways... I doubt many people just happen to be in that great of physical standing, without already thinking about wanting to do something like this.

Its fascinating to think about, but when you bring it down to a real level, id prefer not to really put myself in that great of danger.

I've been training to join the military my whole life. I am in a naval cadet program, like JROTC but for enlisted not officer. I always wanted to be a SEAL but my mind goes everywhere. Right now I want to join either marine or army special forces. Army also gives out more money, so I might. Marines are only good because of the ammount of pride and honor it gives you. I don't know, I have 2 more years before I have to decide.

exactly. espically considering you have to be the top percentile of the navy or marine corps to even be considered for acceptence for BUDs (seal training) and after that there is an 80% volentary dropout rate and a 10% involentary dismissal rate. being a SEAL, or any type of infantry based millitary is a million miles away from pushing buttons on your ps2.

Well alot of ppl are talkin about being in physical shape, like no-one here has seen daylight since SOCOM came out lol.
But back to my point...do you really think that many ppl here sit all day and play SOCOM 24/7?

*And i agree with everyone that says "i hate when ppl think they can do stuff in games in real life", thats where that whole "GTA made me shoot my parents" thing came from*
