On behalf of the
www.socom3.com staff, we wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas (Or insert holiday of your choice).
I say this two days in advance as to remind our community on what we as a community can build apon to keep the spirit of Christmas, alive. All political and religious views aside, we realize what this time of the year means to us. Family, friends, neighbors, and even our enemies note this day in an effort to preserve this Spirit that is buried deep within us all.
Our Families, Our Blood. What makes you, makes your brothers, sisters, cousins, mothers, fathers, grandparents. It's a bond that holds a psychological trait. This link can only be described as divine. Only our Creator could create such a trait as we feel during this time of year. What is it? Love and Unity. We come together as a family to laugh and cry our hardest. Only Christmas (Again, choose your holiday) can bring this out in us. This is the time to put your problems aside and enjoy the company of others. The bonds we share with our brothers, our blood, are held together by steel chains. Only when you feel to hate, and despise your family, will those chains be melted away.
Our Friends. These are people whom you demonstrate the "True You" to. Whoever your friends are whether they're guys, girls, Boyfriends, Girlfriends, friends you never knew you had, friends you wish you had, friends of friends; they see you as who you are and see the "True You" during Christmas. On this note, don't hesitate to say "I love you." Speak your mind to those you love, and hold them in your heart. If you are sincere, that bond of friendship will be welded together with the Spirit of Christmas.
Our Neighbors. They're the people who watch your dog while your our visiting family out of state. They're the people who invite you to those Cove Parties where you only know them and still have a good time. They're the people who gave that first batch of cookies when you moved in years ago. They're people. Just like you and me, they have family and friends whom they cherish. Thanks to this Spirit we're discovering, they hold places in our hearts. "Love Thy Neighbor" only means so much in context. But thanks to Christmas, we can put it into action.
Our Enemies. Why include them? What good are they? Our enemies are what we strive NOT to be. Something that makes you hate them, makes you a better person. So be thankful for our Enemies, but notice this. 2006 is soon apon us. As the Christmas spirit dies down, hate rises again. Why not be the bigger man/woman, and share the love you've given to your Family, Friends, and Neighbors with those you hate. Begin this New Year on a fresh slate. Talk, and eventually love your enemies.
Again, I express my deepest, sincerest gratitude for my friends and family, for my neighbors and enemies, and for this website. This site started from humble beginings to only be a place to discuss a video game. It's become a tool for bringing the best and worst out of a community. So, remember what this website means to some of us and respect it. Remember the Spirit mentioned several times here and apply it.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year on behalf of the
www.socom3.com staff. Stay safe and spread joy and love to those around you.
