I see nothing major as to things being wrong with it. Although it would seem as though you tried to fill space by stretching your render or the render doesnt fit. The left side seems empty even though you have something there try to make it at 350 px in length. Text over a render isnt always a good idea seeing how the render is usually your vokal point....but for your first I think you did a good job.

By the way I am by far not the best brush expert here at the forum I'm sure someone better will be willing to help you if you ask. Thats one thing I can say people are willing to help. This is the place I learned most of my stuff.
1.) Download to desktop
2.) Open Photoshop
3.) click brush tool
4.) Click arrow point down next to brush size on top.
5.) Click arrow pointing to the right.Click Load Brushes...
6.) Get the brushes you downloaded and click them.
7.) Then go back yo arrow pointing down and scroll to bottom.
8.) Click a brush and brush away.
