Connection Speed and Playing Online

Ok well when i am in the lobby i sometimes can't switch teams. Or if i want to leave the game i can't press Triangle it wont work. IT isnt my butttons becuase they work fine when i am playing the game. But i can't leave so i have to shut of my PS2 completely. Plus when i first get online and i try to join a game it wont let me so i have to shut off my ps2 multiple times to make sure it works. I can't send messages at all to my friends to tell them where i am. My Mic doesnt work i ahve tried all those Mic fixes but they just don't work. I don't know what is goin on. Please help me...

If anyone is running DSL, you might ask to be taken off of an interleave circuit. Basically that's a circuit that does continues error checking, which can sometimes cause some packet loss when playing games. Note: being on an interleave circuit will not affect your normal ability to route

The reason I know this is b/c I work for Verizon DSL. There has also been talk of us having a 7M connection sometime in the future...but that won't be out for awhile. If anyone needs a test run on their VOL circuit, send me a PM and I'll run one and let you know how it looks.

while i'm in this topic i need to ask you connection haxors a question. lately i've been having to turn off my modem while its unplugged from the router because i can't get onto the internet (I.E Explorer, MSN IM etc). now , when you can't connect to msn you cando a trouble shooting wizard and it says that my dns can't change ip adresses or some crap like that. is this the modem? do i need a new one? we've had it nearly two years, and its a sprint one :(

oxford-> Next time that happens, try IE, Netscape or Mozilla and see if you can get online ok. Also need to know if once you take router out of equation, do you reboot your pc before trying MSN?



jetto-> rates not bad, but not the best. You could get a 2-3M/sec package with SBC or Verizon for like $20-$30/month

no junkie i dont reset my computer, i used to shut it off when i shut off the modem but seeing as how the modem gets disconnected from the router i figured it doesn't matter. and IE doesn't work i said that i think
